No one wants to go out on a limb, but rumor is that they have some potential. Then there is the fact that they are number one in the nation in recruiting most years, and while no one has proven the correlation, they are also the NC most year, although a lot of people think that is just a coincidence.
Then there is the fact that they seat 101,800 fans, and haven't had to reduce the seating any lately to make it "more intimate", their athletics program cleared about $40,000,000 last year despite the fact that all the other athletic programs besides football lost about $20,000,000, you know, little signs like that.
And maybe more telling, their AD got their COA almost doubled overnight when Auburn came out with one twice as high as theirs, while our "best AD in the nation" is still mumbling about all the legal and logistical problems involved in getting our COA up to the two city colleges level that are less than a hundred miles away------one not a P5 school and the other that just managed to cheat themselves to that level recently.
