So you're telling me they have high school football in Alaska?
They work pretty hard at it. Check out this table of all the teams in the state, by conference, then look at a map, and note how far apart some of the conference members are from one another. It is common for them to fly for away games, out of sheer necessity.
Large School Division 901+
Cook Inlet Conference (5) – Bartlett, Chugiak, Dimond, East Anchorage, Service, South Anchorage, and West Anchorage
Railbelt Conference (3) – Colony, Lathrop, Wasilla, West Valley
Medium School Division 450-900

That's it... all of the football playing high schools in the state. Here is a
LINK to a list of all "high schools" in the state. A lot of Alaskan schools are tiny, even though P/K-12.
It is amazing how much can be done with the kind of funding they are working with to give kids in the larger public schools something resembling the L48 high school experience.
