We scrimmaged West Charlotte, Forest Hills and Union Academy... Though we looked the best again WC which is a 4a school...score was 2-1 WC but we hung with them...Barring any key injuries we could sunrise some people this year...Thomasville comes to town this Friday....

So how did we look against FH and UA? UA is usually pretty bad. What was the score? Any good things or bad? Cant wait for Friday!

Actually in the West Charlotte scrimmage the score was 1-1. If I’m not mistaken the second West score was against the JV, All in all impressed more with the Bulldogs for not turning the ball over and having very few penalties. If they can avoid injuries because like most 1A teams they don’t have a lot of depth they could have a good year but on the down side they have a very tough non-conference schedule.

To echo dogs9 we do have a tough non conference schedule...Counting MC we will have 5 non conference games.. I believe we can win 2 maybe 3 of these. I believe we beat NS, CC, NM, SD and possibility SS. .This would give us 6 wins and possibility 8 wins..Would make for a very good year...

What about WS? I think we beat them for the cup.

I've heard good things about south stanly...I think they will win the stanly cup
A friend of mine was at the SS/Piedmont scrimmage and said that Piedmont dominated South. Also said that Souths best runningback Mayo was no longer with the team, not real sure why. I guess well see how close WS plays Piedmont on Friday to give us an idea.

Piedmont may struggle in their conference which is a really string 3A conference. Tough matchup for a 1A team with seven or so players going both ways.

I don’t think anybody is disrespecting south. They will be competitive and in the top 3 of the conference. They graduated a great class last year that really accomplished great things for that program. The way I see it this year is 1) North Rowan 2) Albemarle 3) South 4) North stanly. I think 2-4 will be competitive not sure if anyone has enough for North rowan but we will see.

I was at most of the Albemarle scrimmage. They did not turn the ball over as in the last few years. They did not false start or jump off sides. I was impressed with their qb play. They seem balanced....a little smaller in the front line than some years, but really had a good scrimmage. They are better than last year! Is it enough to get them in the top two or three? I think so.

Albemarle was also without three of their starting linemen in that scrimmage
