1st post but long time reader.

Why is nobody talking about probably one of the best teams in the region in the Cougars? We probably have the top RB in the state in Jaquis Parks.

Watch out for the Cougars! We'll be competing for the 6A championship in December!

The stretch where AC plays Watauga and Freedom back-to-back will tell the tale for the Cougars. Win those and you can start looking at some home playoff games. But lose one and the best you can hope for is a three-way tie for first and maybe one home playoff game. Personally, I'm looking forward to the game in Taylorsville on the 23rd (without looking past either Saint or SC).

Were you at the hickory game? I understand they had 5 turnovers in the game but hickory was on another level than Ac. There are some good teams in 6a but they need to worry about Freedom and Watauga first. I’m not bashing Ac either. I’m a ac fan and have a kid on Jv but I’m also a realist. I hope you’re right. Now as far as Jaquis, he definitely is one of the better running backs in the area. He has rare combo of size and speed. As long as he’s healthy Ac will do good but I don’t know about winning a state championship

AC is far from elite. They play decent ball, but it takes a special group to run through the west this year. Way too many tough teams.

No disrespect to AC but objectively speaking, the 5 teams they’ve beaten have a combined record of 7-23 (all 1 or 2 win teams) and they were blown out by 5 TDs by the only good team they’ve played. Not to say they couldn’t make some noise, but that 5-1 record seems like it could be a little misleading.

LOL weak or not, we show up in the playoffs. When is the last time the mighty tooters have made it to the 2nd round.
