Another thread sparked this thought in my head. Anyone want to list their all decade team? Let's limit it to a 10 year period so kids that played the 2007-2016 season. I am out and about but will come up with mine tonight.

So here's what I could come up with, some guys I have bias on (fond memories).

QB- John Whitelaw Hinsdale Central (just edged out O'Toole do to his running ability)
RB- Matt Perez Maine South
RB- Ty Isaac JCA
WR- Kyle Prater Proviso West
WR- Jordan Westerkamp Montini
WR- Laquon Treadwell Crete-Monee
TE- Nic Weishar Marist
LT- Ethan Pocic Lemont
LG- Chris Watt Glenbard West
C- Brian Allen Hinsdale Central
RG- Trevor Ruhland Cary Grove
RT- Kevin Jarvis Maine South

DE- Darius Fleming St Rita
DT- Bruce Gaston St Rita
DT- Steven Richardson Mr Carmel
DE- Terry Beckner East St Louis
LB- Nyles Morgan Crete Monee
LB- Tuf Borland Bolingbrook
LB- Clifton Garrett Plainfield South
CB- Justin Jackson Glenbard North (had to get him out there somewhere)
CB- Matthew Harris Lyons Township
FS- Terry Hawthorne East St Louis
SS- Julian Love Nazareth

K- Jake Elliot Lyons Township
P- Austin Seibert Belleville West
LS- Scott Daly Downers Grove South

Really is a struggle to leave some RB's and WR's off. Some ridiculous run first QB's too.

At LS, you're really confusing me here,
John Shannon Loyola #1 LS in the country 2016
Or
Scott Daley DGS #1 LS in the country 2012
????????
I combined them! Hah I was thinking about both of them put Shannon first then chose to go with Daly in my mind and never deleted Shannon. Either choice is a good one.

What about Plainfield Norths Kapri Bibbs? Currently in the NFL as the number two back for the Broncos. NCAA record for rushing touchdowns in a season (tied with Montee Ball and Keenan Reynolds). Ran for 519 yards and seven TD's against Oswego as a senior. I know Isaac and Perez were good, but I think Bibbs would get my nod.

Man another RB that would be tough to turn down. I don't know where he slots in there for me personally. I already feel like I'm missing on Brodner, Akui, Ferguson, Jackson but Bibbs certainly deserves consideration too. No wrong answer there.

Was one of those Allens the OL from king that's with the chiefs? If not he should be there.

Jimmy Garroppolo? Backup for the patriots... not as highly touted as others but edgy used to say he couldn't believe big ten teams were passing on him.

Some good picks. I would have had Wilson and Bulaga but I think they exceed the 10 year window.

I have to admit I missed Fiedorowicz (understandable I never saw him play in HS) and Cooper (I saw plenty, just forgot him).

I've never seen an all-decade team that ended in anything but zeros for the years. This is hurting my brain

He was an absolute beast in high school, just "too short" for the major programs. Looks like they missed out.
Watched the '13 7A game vs. Zurich last night on youtube. One of most dominating performances I have ever seen from an MC player.

Going on just what they did in HS, It's tough to leave Brodner off. 47 TD's and carried his team to a 14-0 state champ season.

I'll take that any day. Perez averaged 12 yards a carry as a senior. Scored 5 TDs in championship game. Bigger, faster, stronger than Brodner. Never lost a high school game. And Isaac ran all over everyone all year long, including 500 yards in championship game. I'd put Justin Jackson in their class, for sure, but definitely not the the GBW kid.

I'll take Bibbs over these guys still.
