Smith had nothing, not #4 for long. Was rag dolled, and people thought Ryder may be a 174 when at PSU. Surprised he didn’t stay at PSU and try to beat Welch.
Smith is big for the weight but Ryder threw him all around the mat. Ryder looks powerful.
Angelo wanted him at WNO when they were seniors and Ryder was bigger, but he claimed Ryder didn’t want the match. They may go twice before the NCAA tournament this year. Ryder doesn’t look very tall, but taller than Gabe
Looking forward to Angelo going to a knee and sliding to the edge.
Was thinking the same thing. Very impressive over a seasoned high ranked wrestler. DT effect or was he always going to be that good? Curious to see if he has anything for the top 3 at 84...

I am also, especially since Ryder was an early commit who seemed very dedicated to PSU. Carl didn't feel the loyalty to him that he felt toward PSU. Blaze, Duke, and Messenbrink are the only wrestlers they have that won't immediatly be recruited over.
The Ryder family was torqued over this whole deal....I saw the posts back n forth on a Facebook page. Flat out said they were lied to.

And yet they and other big programs try to tell recruits how horrible of humans our coaches are, including calling them robots. If ever a coach reminded me of a heartless robot it would be Carl, followed closely by behind by Taylor.
He’s the David Simms (Don Johnson) in Tin Cup of college wrestling and the Ryder family cared enough to see him for who he is.
184 is turning out to be a tough weight with some young guns manning the top spots. I'm confident in Angelo, but he's got more than just McEnally to get through.
Angelo, McEnelly, Ryder, Rocco and Sinclair make 184 the toughest weight. No other weight has 5 guys that good
Ayala, Crookham , Byrd and Blaze. Not sure I would add anyone else.
Davino had a close one with Cortez over the weekend wouldn't add him yet
Figs won a title but we saw him last year and it wasn't good.
OT- but are they really going to redshirt Ono and start Davis? Seems against Carls mo
Ono will RS and Blaze 133. Ono is registered at 57kg for the Farrell with +2 kg that's 130. 141 will be Nagao and Davis battling it out. Davis has a RS available
Amen brother. The amount of trash spread by the Nit faithful is ridiculous.
They could be thumb wrestling and Ono would still be a better option than Davis and Nagao
