They could be thumb wrestling and Ono would still be a better option than Davis and Nagao
I get what you're saying. But having exactly 0 matches with leg passes and top/bottom makes Davis and Nagao a far better option for the time being. It's an interesting experiment taking a world champ FSer and putting him into a folkstyle D1 season (or 2)

Personally, I think it's a bigger gap than people think. He's going to have a hard time unless he gets a lot of folk matches.

I wouldn't have a problem removing him. Not sure Blaze has yet either but I believe both will be very soon
Blaze has beaten an NCAA finalist in folk. Plott beat down Sinclair.

I think Sinclair will be really good, but I’d put him a tier below the other 4. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong.

Agree he has but was a few years ago down a weight. I think Blaze is the 4th best 133 right now before he wrestles a match.

But why are you willing to remove Sinclair?
He's still gotta prove it. His loss to Plott means he's not quite there yet. But I think he will be in that mix come March. We will know more in 2 weeks. He's a better freestyle wrestler and those results tend to sway my thinking. Hard to forget all the good freestyle wins he has

No shade thrown but Angelo has 1 big win in his back pocket. He had no freestyle this summer.
He’s going to be a beast but you may want to temper expectations a little. Let the kid mature and dominate before you crown him the greatest.

Gonna be hard to lose matches when nobody can take you down. Buchanan wasn’t even taking him down in the room last year.

Only takedown I can remember in competition last year was Starocci one time on edge of mat in Happy Valley. And Angelo has that lightning fast single leg/ankle takedown. Mcenelly and Angelo will wrestle Saturday night in mid March.

We get to see Ferrari vs Sinclair soon enough to see how competitive it will be. Any ducking would be highly unfortunate.

As a long-time Ryder skeptic, he looked unreal. Maybe it's a match up thing and other 184s will be able to deal with is power and underhook, but that looked real to me. He's always been a very controlling, power-based guy, but he looked smooth transitioning between attacks.
