You really believe that? It’s a major part of being a coach- reinforcing good play and setting repercussions for bad play/decisions. You think someone like Izzo would just watch a guy continue to take bad shots and say “oh well, what can I do?”

In fact as I recall in one of the post game pressers Izzo commented how Audige normally forces shots…

Here's the dialog I imagine took place late in the game...

Penn State coach Shrewsbury - "Guys, if Audige is outside the arc, make it look like you're guarding him, but leave him open - we want him shooting"

Chase Audige in the huddle - "Coach, I am getting wide open against these guys - get me the ball!!!"

Coach Collins - "Guys, we're gonna get Chase the ball - he's getting great looks."
