Any confessions about band camp you wanna share?
Sure I remember my first year (2010) in marching band at Bourbon County and I was really short like 4 ft and a junior who was 6' 9 was next to me. I fell over backwards marching and he landed on top of me. Also my director says I'm the most improved trumpet year in and year out every year.

Way to go! You should be proud of what you've accomplished in one of the better school activities that isn't a sport!

I am but Marching Band (atleast the effort at our program is greater than that of our football team).

No when I tripped and fell on her chest (just happened to be the girl I like) and basically I said this is so soft and accidently groped it while trying to get up. It was like a pillow. She knew it was an accident so she forgave me.

Congrats, and your band was great this year. Saw the show about four times.

Sweet. I was one of the trumpets on the prop in the trio. My friend Warren was the soloist and was almost in allstate. I let him have it because it meant so much to him. As long as I got the trophy from my first contest at Rowan COunty 2010. This past state finals was the most memorable even though we didn't win. My other seniors didn't want to wear the 2nd place medals but I did. I was in the front row middle for full retreat.

Y'all were good at double/triple-tonguing (giggity). Being 2nd to Adair is nothing to hang your head about, so good for you.

I told my son that if you all had been competing in your own contest, you would have won by a mile.

Thats what the judges said to at our contest. Our double tounging was only me, Ryan and Warren. The rest we are trying to get them to do it. Little success so far.

It's hard. I played well into college and never really got the hang of it.

Whatever few cool points I had on here are quickly dwindling.

I thought this was a thread about an insurance company, and for some reason I clicked on it. Then I read the whole thing. WTF was I thinking?!?!?!

Do they mix middle school and high school bands? If not, how were you in the marching band in 2010 and 2015?

We mix middle school and high school because I go to Bourbon County and the schools right next to each other. Best 6 years of my life.

I swear one of the bands this year had a 10 year old in it carrying around this big *** baritone.

I honestly don't recall. He was just muuuuuuch smaller than everyone else. He was playing, though.

For some reason I remember my schools rivals Adair having a really young Baritone who was pretty good for his age.

I guess I'll hang around for the long play on this one, but for some reason I just don't think it's going to happen.
