I know he was at Morehead under former UK coach Preston Spradlin as a fr.

Always wondered if he looked at UK as a transfer spot. Im sure Preston would have been ok with that.

I guess Oscar probably deterred that thought?

Not sure but he sure as hell shouldn't have ended up at Auburn. He can enjoy that decision for the rest of his life

Yeah , I remember watching him at Morehead and thinking he could be a good depth piece for us , lol . We had the national player of the year at that position.

Thought the same in February of '23 and we won by 30 with a much less team than we have now. Time will tell.

He has exceeded what I thought he could do. He kind of reminded me of Sam Perkins, he didn’t look like he was putting out, but his stats said otherwise, he’s a vital part of the Auburn team.

This is the best a pearl team has ever looked imo. But they were really good last season(26 of their 27 wins were by double figures) and choked in the first round.

Maybe getting passed over for the UK job lit a fire under Pearl.

Bingo. Cal wasn’t a good enough coach for both to be on the same team. It was a huge loss. We all know Cal’s motives. Just can’t stand that damn fraud. So glad he is gone.

How many teams match up well with Auburn? They are probably the best team in the country right now.

Cal was coach and did not go after him that much but Pearl who is a good judge of talent picked him up another reason glad Cal is gone.

you said the same thing about Duke and we all saw how that ended. what you don't consider ,how will Auburn match up with us

Lets be honest. Broome after 2 years at MSU was NOT the same player he is today. Cal had Oscar back for another year during Broome's first season. He wouldn't have been able to rotate Broome, Toppin, Livingston and Oscar and I doubt Broome is here for a THIRD year if Cal was the coach. It is what it is...

True and Broome looks really good against Carolina as they have no bigs to match up with them. Amari Williams will match up well with him. Don't get me wrong I like Broome too.
