Am I alone thinking Ingram needs another year?

How would the college game be today if there were no early entry players and everyone had to play 4 years. OFC

I don't know... will one more year be enough for any NBA team to invest a bajillion dollars in him? He might want to graduate first, so he will probably be here for 3 years. This next part might be kinda controversial (please don't bite my head off!) but I have to say, I am 110% confident he will not be a 4-year guy. No way he stays all 4. No way! Repeat, Brandon Ingram will not be a 4-year college player. I don't claim any insider information! This is coming solely from me.
Dat with insights like that you are coming close to being at the Gary 7 level of insider info

Probably better for the blue bloods in terms of consistency; worse for the mid-majors who use their experience against younger teams with more "talent."

Don't get me wrong, fantastic player. Kid can hit the 3 and play multiple positions. He needs another development year. Needs to gain weight and play better defense. With his body type and position in the NBA probably being a 4, he will get destroyed. People say he compares to Durant but I dont see it. His shot isnt as good and frame is way to thin. Tyus surpised me last year so I know Ingram sees a pay day but with the incoming class, they can make a serious run if he returns with Allen. JMO
Yes, you are alone in that thinking.

I think there would be a lot of great college teams simply because the talent would have to be distributed because of the numbers. Take Duke for an example. Over the last four years with the top players we've had we would not have gotten them all simply because we would not have enough schollys for them all. The college game would be greatly competitive and the NBA would be a better game also. OFC

I am sure I am gonna take some flack for stating this. But I believe Brandon has the highest NBA ceiling of any Duke player, ever.
He obviously has a long way to go, but the Durant comparisons I believe to be true, and we have never had an NBA superstar on the level of KD.
I understand Grant Hill had a 5 year window where he was seen as the guy to take the throne from MJ, and clearly injuries derailed that, still an underrated and unbelievable career though.
Guys like Brand, Battier, Irving all are having or had fantastic NBA careers (I don't believe Kyrie will ever be a top 5 player in the league, solely because of defense.)

Again, I am talking strictly about "NBA CEILING," and length, quickness, shooting, strength, defense (got ALOT of work to do) all do factor into a player's ceiling. But if Brandon were to reach that ceiling, I think he is a top 5 player in the league with a game similar to KD's.
Also remember, he is young, even for a current freshman.

Also, I don't believe Okafor, Winslow, or Tyus have as high a ceiling as Brandon does. Giles and Tatum though, I am excited to find out!!

Any current/future Duke player has a higher ceiling. I'd argue Jabari can still be a top 25 player in the league someday. He's breaking out right now.

As for BI, he does have a high ceiling, but it's hard to reach...whether a Duke player or some slug at the weekly gym.

Duke has had some really good NBA players despite what others will tell you. Can Brandon be really good, or even special? Sure, he can. But he has some major strides to take....among them, strength, defense, shot selection, defense (again) and the ability to make others around him better.

I like Brandon's pro prospects a lot, but judging them as freshman, I'd had taken Kyrie, Jah, Jabari and Justise over him. JMO.
