Have posted over here a couple times in recent seasons that I liked some of the talent that NW has but guard play would hold you back. Now that you're no longer relying on lacrosse players, the rest of that talent can start to show.

Brutal schedule coming up for your guys though.

That lacrosse player was actually pretty damn good, especially considering he only put in one year of Big 10 basketball.

I'm seeing a little Pat Spencer in the team this year. The grit and the determination and the confidence. I'm not sure what we're seeing this year isn't the former Tewaaraton Award winner's winning attitude rubbing off on his teammates.

Post was legit. The lacrosse player proved to be a rare two sport talent. Respect and awe for him all the way around. BUT.. Having to rely on a grad transfer with one year of eligibility and in learning mode was not a good place to be. I sure didnt expect Chase A to be such a force and I had not seen Berry and his smooth shot. Boo we knew had a game, Greer less so. But the quartet of guards with Gaines for defense and strength is something new. Others are noticing. OSU and Iowa are two more opportunities.

Gotta admit that we were pretty desperate after recruiting misses and the Lathon bomb. Spencer saved us from utter embarrassment, though we still stunk. What he did was pretty amazing. Probably would have made all conference in a lesser one. The B1G is a tough place to play and he held his own.

He wasn't though. ORtg of 94.8 in conference play, under 20% from 3. He doesn't see the floor for a decent B1G team which is what you may have now. Not bashing the kid, just pointing out that it's a big step forward.

Our current guards all over over 40% shooting
