but continue to sell Nazi artifacts. Once on a slippery slope, it's tough to stop.

That actually brings up a good example. In Germany today, do they have Nazi flags anywhere other than museums? No, except for a few misguided white supremecists. The German government doesn't fly the Nazi flag over a memorial for the German soldiers that died during World War II.

You've missed my entire point. Once these companies bow down to political correctness, where will it end? Ebay and Amazon sill sell communist gear and communism was responsible for far more deaths than slavery.

Slavery, Fascism, Socialism, and the plague. One could argue that Communism has been the biggest blight the planet has ever seen.

Pretty easy argument to make since more have died from communism than any other factor thanks primarily to Papa Joe.

Well, you can't really leave out Kim Jong Il, Pol Pot, Mao, Castro, and Ho Chi Min.

Better get your Dukes of Hazard General Lee car with the Stars and Bars now because they're taking it off the toy.

The Swastika and other Nazi symbols are prohibited under German law.

I was waiting for this to be posted.

I may be recalling incorrectly but I think you're in favor of the flag to keep flying. Wouldn't an analogue to Germany banning the Nazi flag be the US not only not letting the Confederate flag fly but also banning it?

I am not in favor of it on Gov't installations. I am not in favor of a law restricting individuals from flying it as it would be a violation of free speech and analogous to a law allowing the desecration of the American flag. While I don't support either of those displays, I'm all for an individual's right to do so.

While you all continue to take these ridiculous hard line stances about southern heritage, you fail to realize the genius of the soft approach. By allowing it, it allowed for reconstruction and bridging the divide by not completely shaming the south. This is why you see a unified and strong country and not one decimated by continuous turmoil.
