Amihere Had One of Best Hustle Plays of the Year

Somewhat lost in the aftermath of the game and our venting over losing a game we shouldn't have, I wanted to give credit to Amihere for one of the best hustle plays you'll ever see. Her steal where she poked the ball from Clark and then dove Pete-Rose-style to grab the loose ball and pass it to a breaking Zia Cooke looked like an old Larry Bird highlight or something. It was a really spectacular play that would have gotten more attention had she played on the winning team.

You certainly can’t say our ladies were disengaged, or loafing, or giving up, or any of the things often said about a team after a loss. They busted their butts all night, and that play was a perfect example. But sometimes the other team and other talent just has it. When we took the lead in the 4th, and CC promptly drained a ridiculous three from the final four logo, I thought it might be over. But to the ladies credit, they scrapped to the end.

I was impressed with her play, and if the other ones would've brought a little extra we would have won.

She is a hard one to read. Very emotionally flat lined. That’s okay just hard to read. She got blown up underneath in one drive and no call. Weird how they can’t see some of the bang plays. Refs slow to react. Still don’t know how we couldn’t have defended better. Oh well. LSU fans smell like hot dog water.

The bounce pass was the best part cause if she threw it straight at Zia it may have gotten tipped or picked off.
