It was simply a formality. Looking forward to watching Amile in a Duke uniform for one more season.

I just saw it on Duke Blue Devils Athletics Fscebook page. Glad it's official and Amile gets to play his last year of eligibility. One thing that I was surprised by was that the medical waiver came from the ACC, I thought they came from the NCAA.

I know we knew it was coming, but this is like getting a 5* grad transfer who already knows the system. Cannot be understated how huge this is for the team.

Truth. I mean we probably would have won it all with him in our lineup this year. And he would have been the number one pick. Everyone on this board has said that though, so i'm just repeating what everyone thinks.

The sarcasm in your post is confusing.

haha, there are a couple posters over at THR that pulled out of thin air that everyone here thinks Amile in our lineup this year meant that we would have won it all, and from this made up idea they created, that we also thought he was a lottery pick. I'm sure it's confusing b/c they're that stupid.

In all seriousness, it is huge that he is back, having that type of veteran leadership anchoring our defense is going to be awesome. Him and Harry crashing the boards is going to be a thing of beauty after this past season.

Haha thanks for clearing it up. Obviously I am new to the board.

Amile, Matt and Grayson were huge parts of our last title run. I feel warm and fuzzy knowing we have the more adult versions of these three warriors for another run. Sub out Justise, Jah and Tyus; sub in Harry, Jayson and Frank and add a dash of super sophs Luke and Chase and we've got a recipe for number 6. It's great to be a Devil.

Sweet! I was a little worried something lame might happen and mess things up but happy for him and us!

So happy for Amile, a really nice young man, that will get a little redemption for last year. We all know how badly he wanted to be on the floor, and how much it was tearing him up knowing the difference he would have made.
He will be a really great calming force for the team next year, and I cannot wait to see him get what he deserves, to be a part of #6.
Go Duke!!

Still don't understand why so many of their fans think that was a lock to happen if he didn't get hurt. That final four had some very good teams and I definitely would have picked that Kentucky team over them that season.

There weren't THAT many of us that expected a game changing type player when he committed to Duke. Myself included. But he has since proved how important his decision was. Remember, he was a late commit. Glad to have him back.

You guys are looking good for next year with Amile ,top recruits , the tripper returning , The NCAA giving you favorable seeding in the tournament , and of course the referees helping out---my money's on Duke.

Heck yea!! Maybe we get to come to Bloomington and embarrass you again too!
