Thought it also made sense to follow along as Amile and Luke close in on 1,000 career points.

Amile currently sits at 863 for his career. Only 137 left to go to becoming the 66th Duke player to ever reach the feat.

Amile - 863

Luke still has a ways to go, but with his early season scoring bursts he's closer than what I would have expected. He kind of quietly scored 425 as a freshman, and with a quick 220 in short time this season he's already at 645. So while he still has 355 points to go, barring something completely unforeseen he'll reach that milestone at some point this season. Just based on a minimum of 25 remaining games, he'd only need to average 14.2 to get there....and right now he's averaging an even 20.

Luke - 645

Once again....I'll do my best to update after each game.

I'd love to see where Duke ranks among other schools in terms of number of 1000 point scorers.

I wish we could pin posts. Would make it so much easier to update and find the meat of the thread. I'd leave the Gameball tracker open if we had that option.

I thought I saw something awhile back that had UNC at 70 something 1000 point scorers which was more than anyone else. I also thought I saw a stat at a Duke game that said Grayson became the 60 something guy to do it at Duke like the 3rd game this year.
**All of this could be way wrong**

Just like the Helms Trophy, I smell a fake. I'm thinking some of those UNC "1000 point scorers" are from the student intramural league.

If Kennard keeps up this pace for the rest of the season and then duplicates it for 2 more, where would he be at?

Wow with Louisville there. They really have had some stellar players at that school.

Correct. But you have to remember, teams could play a 40-game season too. Also, we're assuming Luke's scoring average doesn't increase at all for two more years. So I would say, hypothetically, that we'd be talking top five, at minimum.

That's an impressive milestone in the OAD era. With kids leaving early and maybe some solid players not being able to contribute as much as they might have in the past, I imagine you won't see that milestone reached as much.
