I'm just saying this is a solid (rising senior) group. I won't be surprised if they surprise around the state. This group in particular has been WAY under the radar the whole time they've been in HS ball, and I bet they do something. My nephew and his cousins played a bulk of this senior group at younger ages and nobody thought they had a chance and ended up doing some things back then. I've watched them with interest and they get better every year. I believe this year is set up for a dramatic fall for a couple teams not named SP.
Maybe we will beat *crest and maybe not that first week. But, I really do think this is a 3rd round or later playoff team in the making. Games are won and lost upfront....something *crest coaches seems to know, but haven't always found a way to prove they know it.

When you do the math on the winning % SP holds over *crest, it makes a whole lot more sense why he'd make that argument and WAY less sense why any extreme hot dog eater *crest fan would ever utter a word. You don't see SP fans running off at the mouth toward Shelby over and over. Having to wait out some grades for Spring and see who qualifies. Burns math doesn't always transfer over to Crest for full credits.
Visited the mighty Red Raider weight room today. The boys are hitting it in large #s with large #s. One DL has a 430 bench and a 650 squat. The others are chasing him. Bring on the All Americans!!! No Crest cramper beats my Raiders two years in a row!!!
BJ Hopper, all SMAC corner, has been saying since Christmas break he was transferring to Shelby. I know he is no longer on the Burns basketball team but has been attending classes at Burns until last week so I am really not sure what his status is.
Crest is losing some good talent, but has some nice talent returning. Harbison should have a great year. From what I am hearing, I expect him to be offensive player of the year in Mecklenburg County..
LD, all you have to do is look who is on the board of education and see where they live and have political ties. The picture is quite clear, and nothing changes.
