This is a much better analog than Smart taking over Georgia, or Day taking over OSU...Frost took over a program that was 6-12 in its previous 18 games...had the 128th defense in the nation and was poised to lose all of its scholarship qbs in the coaching change. Frost then lost potential starters at linebacker, oline, wr, qb due to transfers. A Mike Riley coached team is much closer to a bottom dweller like Washington State than the average teams of the Bo Pelini era. Excuses are truths...by 2021 this won't matter, if we still see these performances then we start to consider changes...but every sane person knew this was a rebuild. Rebuild means patience.
