I don’t agree with everything he says or every example he makes but I do agree that 8 teams is the way to go with 5 P5 conference champs getting in, but I believe the G5 team needs to be ranked in the top 12 before it is eligible for a playoff spot, otherwise that spot would become an at large spot along with the remaining two at large bids.

The committee would still be needed to rank the teams for seeding purposes and to determine the at large teams.

G5 teams should never be looked at for playoffs. Unless it goes to 16. Playoffs will not be extended unless SEC and Big 10 agree to it. Right now SEC controls the playoffs no matter what some think.
