And now Malik Monk to UK as well.

BUT BUT BUT I thought we didn't have anyone for Allen and jones was going to shut down Murray????
And to be clear, I have the Allen flop, or head snap, at 11 times. Does that sound accurate?
I was wrong?? Lol and thanks I was wondering what I count was!! Knew I could count on my pal fitch

Our squads better meet-up next year. If all of those NBA players (half of which probably future all-stars) get to go at it ...o_O

I wonder how often Cat fans would post here if they weren't 2-7 against Duke in the past 35 years.

Timeframing = loser's argument. Your team is 9-12 against UK. It would be worse if K would ever agree to a home and home series.

Most likely it would have been 3-6 had Coach P. guarded the in-bounder. But that is water under the bridge. Go Big Blue....By the way , it was a good game by both teams last night.

Well, one that is not right. 3 are arguably in the top 10 depending on the service. Two, assuming Giles can recover, most regard Duke's top 2 recruits as better than all of UK's guys. Three, and more importantly, the guys Duke look to be bringing back are far more highly regarded than the ones UK may be bringing back. I know you love your UK guys. But common. Did you just compare Wynyard, Humphries, and Willis to the guys Duke is likely to bring back -- e.g., Thornton, Kennard, Jeter, Matt Jones, and, yes, Grayson Allen. I know Allen was all kinds of aweful last night...."

2 > 5? ok.....

Returning players:

Ty Wynyard 6'10
Isaac Humphries 7'0
Derek Willis 6'9
Marcus Lee 6'9
Charles Mathews 6'5
Dominique Hawkins 6'0
Mychal Mulder 6'4

....factor in the experience/development they get from this season.

Then for 2016, Add:

De'Aron Fox 6'5
Malik Monk 6'3
Wenyen Gabriel 6'10
Bam Adebeyo 6'9
Sasha Killeye-Jones 6'10

and possibly returning:

Isaiah Briscoe 6'3 (..and I only say this because he needs work on the jumper)

...that's a loaded roster any way you look at it. We can argue all day what the rankings of recruiting sources are and whose roster is better... only one way to settle the debate. Play the game. The home and home series needs to happen, but as history has shown, K will most likely never sign off on it.

Lol. If you take great joy and pride in UK going 9-2 against Duke in the pre-integration version of basketball that predates when most of us were born and bears no resemblance to how basketball is played today, congrats I guess. Something to write home about. Hmm. On second thought, rather than cluttering our boards -- why don't you actually spend the time you're wasting here writing home about UK. Maybe someone at home would be interested in your drivel. We're not the ones who are so insecure about our place in history that we need to waste our time making a fool of ourselves on the message boards of a team that doesn't even consider you a rival. We're Duke. Enough said.

The all-time series is what it is. It doesn't just apply to the timeframe you want it to. Your record is 9-12. End of story.

Is basketball heading in the direction of the women's game, where there isn't much parity? It seems more and more that it's getting so the Big 4 (or so) Blue Bloods are reeling in almost all the blockbuster recruits. That's great for Duke, of course, but it makes college basketball less interesting for the rest of us.

I guess I'd consider that group as consisting of Kentucky, Duke, Kansas and North Carolina. Maybe I'm missing somebody.

Yeah, I know -- loser talk...

Right now Kentucky and Duke are keeping college basketball going. Kentucky and Duke are the two best teams typically with the most star players. Kentucky will win more titles and so will Duke. I have always hated Duke and most Duke fans hate Kentucky but I think there is at least respect from both sides, which makes it at least somewhat fun. It will always be much better than UNC, UL or IU being good.

Yeah I think we have more parity then ever... Sure the top teams are stocking up talent but those mid-majors or other majors really with senior laden teams and can SHOOT always have a chance

Cal has been at mid major schools most of his caeer. What do you mean 5>1 I could say 8>5

Did you or did you not quote, "Well K does March better than Cal. End of story"?

Like I said 5>1

Cal has been to 6 final fours and has one title to show for it. Since he's been at UK & has had countless highly touted #1 recruiting classes K, still has managed to win one more title than him. #GOAT

I give you that, K is a great Coach and has done great at Duke. Since Cal has been at a blueblood school though, do you agree he has done well in March. Yes he has 1 ring only, but 5 FF's and with mostly freshman

I agree he's done well but K has done better in March...which is the whole point of me quoting you and writing 5>1. Cal needs to finish the job in March/April...he certaintly has the talent every year to get it done. It took Anthony Davis a transcendent player and future HOF to get him his first & only title.

I am glad we can agree on that. Another thing we can agree on, most teams in the country would like to do like Duke and UK are doing in March. Good luck to you guys.

"Aaaand Duke will still have the better team top to bottom next year." .....based on what?? You realize that of the 5 players committed to UK next year, 4 are in the Top 10, right? Factor in what UK will have returning as well. (Humphries, Lee, Willis, Wynyard and maybe even Briscoe)
Maybe even Briscoe?!! No he's definitely gone after this year.

my bad I thought for sure they said last night it was this class,I can admit when I am wrong. UK was better last night Duke looked lost on several trips and saw something I never see with duke ball hogs taking shots that was about "ME" Allen was driving against grown boys not Bryant guys lol He looked like a freshman, and I think he is a baller, just didn't show it last night! UK/Duke are best 2 programs in country when it comes to recruiting WHAT KILLS me 2-3 years ago K and Fans were saying UK and Cal was ruining CBB hahahaha I guess they are too now!
WHAT KILLS me is how UK fans despised John Calipari when he was at Memphis and wanted nothing to do with him. Jeez! Mitch Barnhart(athletic director) didn't even want to hire him.

The only person who even remotely fits that category for UK is Marcus Lee. But, frankly, he's pretty clearly proven to be a bust compared to expectations. Now, maybe my thinking would be a bit different if Ullis & Briscoe returned. But, little about UK's culture these days makes me think that will happen.
??

He came in weighing 185 soaking wet as a D1 big and then sat for two years behind a bunch of future lottery picks like WCS, Towns, and Randle. Not sure how much it was reasonable to expect of him out the gate. Now that he's featured and has packed on some muscle (still a slim guy, but not a stick any more), he was clearly our best post player against you guys (Skal is still a baby deer), and it looks like he'll average close to a double double with 2-3 bpg and is projected low first round at draftexpress. That's exactly what scouts projected and we expected once he got up to speed.

And Cal doesn't expect Ulis to return. If he does what he's supposed to this year, his stock is never going to be higher - he's not gonna gain height. He's already a very mature player and whatever limitations he has are basically all inherent to his body.

Briscoe, maybe. If he leaves, we'll likely be adding Kobi Simmons in the spring.

Interesting how Tyler Ulis loses an inch when UK fans want to exaggerate how bad Duke is... and how it's a major travesty for someone to have ranked this year's freshmen behind Duke... until they want to exaggerate how bad Duke is.

At 5'9", it would not surprise me if Ulis returned, as good a season as he projects to have. They'll lose a few guys early, though. The only guy we're likely to lose early is Brandon. It is surprising for me to hear that despite having the top 2 players in this year's senior class, Duke projects behind UK's class, but more offensive than my surprise, I don't really know UK's class yet. I'll get around to it, but right now I'm not interested.

...that 12-13 team was clearly in line to make the NCAAs until Noel tore his ACL...
Oh, yeah, that's another one: UK was on pace to make the NCAAT when UK fans want to counter teasing about '13... but they'll talk up how it was Cal's one NIT team when they want to downplay that Duke beat them and act like Duke somehow controlled those circumstances.
