mneilmont for this post:

"If you were not around during the time, you are going to lose a little appreciation of what she did. She had probably gone to the back of that bus a hundred times and pass up unoccupied seats. This time she said to hell with that and took the first unoccupied seat. There had never been a problem when she lowered her head and went to the back."

with regard to Rosa Parks.

Wow. Is there a way to get banned for that level of stupidity?

Keep in mind, he's the same guy who talked about my son....

fathering Black babies, said my son looked like a "***", and continues to disparage my cousins who are Black. The guy is a racist. Plain and simple.

NOPE, IT WAS WHEN I FINALLY AGREED WITH YOU THAT YOUR SON IS A ***. REPEATING, THERE IS NO WAY HE COULD HAVE BEEN ANYTHING ELSE. THAT IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE USED THAT TERM ON THIS VENUE, BUT NOT THE LAST.

HE HAS GOT TO BE A ***. GOT TO BE SINCE HE IS THE SON OF THE THING THAT BRAGS ABOUT BEING A BIGGER COCK SUCKER THAN KNOX. BRAGS ABOUT SUCKING MORE AND A BETTER ONE.

You probably need to look in the mirror

Too anxious to jump. What did I say objectionable?

Repeating: She walked to the back of the bus many times and there was no problem, but when she refused to go to the back of the bus, that raised a discrimination problem. You are a stupid idiot if you think differently or fail to understand the situation that existed at the time. Her actions were the front runner to remove the "Colored Only" and the "White Only" sign which were fashioned at the time.

Tell me specifically what you find objectionable to what I reported?

He is a Triple Prick follower. It is always somebody else as culprit. He is insecure and trying to fit in.

WTF is your problem?!? He was saluting her for what she did

on the other hand maybe you are a racist and you want him banned for speaking well of her is that what it is?

She always walked to the back of the bus so there was never a problem and one day she said to hell with that and she sat where she wanted. She wasn't going to lower her head and walk to the back anymore.

You are a freaking moron!

I think liberals are like pack dogs. The more you put together the more they bark.

You left out

"There had never been a problem when she lowered her head and went to the back."

That statement comes across as "everything was fine when they knew their place".

Now, he says that's not the way he meant it, so I'll take him at his word for that. It's easy to type something hastily and it gets inferred in a way that it wasn't intended. But I also won't fault anybody that inferred it that way either.

However, now that he has clarified, it seems something that should just be let go, but that wouldn't fit the culture of this board.

It reads that way if you want it to read that way

It is an accurate statement. When I read it it meant that at that time there were no problems when the blacks did "as they were told".

The experience was a bit difference for blacks, there were problems for them regardless.

That's the way I took it. If that's the way it was meant, I stand by my statement. It fits with the other statement about the lunch counter - "they can go somewhere else". If you really believe the "solution" was for them to go somewhere else, you really don't have a clue.

If it's not the way it was meant, I apologize and take back everything I said.

I can see where you are confused

Things have to be read into your offerings, according to what you suggested yesterday. Not saying that I always type what I intend without error, but for the most part you can take what I say at face value.

After reading my initial offering, I still do not see/get how you people got to your understanding. There was no place that I suggested that the back of the bus was where she belonged. It was simply a fact for the period. I DID NOT RELIGATE HER TO THE BACK OF THE BUS. I HAD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. It was simply a fact for that period of time in our history.

Re: No problems for the whites you mean

How old were you in 1964? Did you hear someone lodge a complaint? I never did living in a metropolitan area in the South at the time.

I would get on the bus and have a seat and never think a thing about it. It was simply the way it was. Being new, I accepted it without question.

Actually haven't had a drink in 5 years. Can you make the like statement that you have not ingested pain-killers or other narcotics? You are such a damn liar, it would be hard to believe you, but will give you a chance to deny.

I never said anything of the sort yesterday. I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt on this one and still you come back and prove that you're going to be contrarian regardless of what I say. Clearly you have issues.

It was not any kind of protest at all, it was just a Sunday stroll. Everybody was perfectly content with their role in society.

Maybe a day or two ago then

but you certainly said it. Contrarian? You respond to nearly everything I offer. It really isn't necessary for you to offer yourself as my conscious.

That ignore button works if you would do us both a favor.

Please re-read both entries

Challenge is for you to tie your response to my inquiry. Can't do it, huh?

Were you ever involved, outside a book that some other idiot wrote who didn't know what he was talking about either?
