Doesn't seem like this says a whole lot. Just that they hope he will be here soon. But, now that summer practice is over I assume most of the team has gone home until they next need to be back for school again or Fall practices, I assume. So, my question would be, what good would it do him to be on campus with no teammates around? Or, am i missing something regarding team members still being on campus?
I don't think summer practice is over and I know the team hasn't left because most of them were at the TBT game yesterday. I agree that there's nothing really new to coach Pope's statement. This was never going to be seamless. Just hope he's here and going to class when the semester starts.

I really thought I did read that summer practices are over, thought that came straight from Pope and that the TBT practice game was the final part of their summer practices. I might very well be wrong though.
Looks like finals aren't until 8/13 so maybe they have a few more weeks of practices but I don't know squat. Noticed fall semester begins on 8/25 so that should give us a timeline on when Jelavic should be here.

Yeah that didn’t answer any questions other than he needs to cross off a bunch of BS to get here. Kinda crazy that a legit student player has all these hoops.
I do appreciate that Pope can say nothing without managing to drop some condescending comment about the fans like his predecessor.
It has been said that international students can’t arrive earlier than 30 days before classes start. If that’s true Jelovic can arrive 7/25.
Auburns classes start a week earlier than UK.
Auburn knew he was coming a week ago and the date he would be here.

That of course is unless you are Duke. Then you find ways around so called rules and he gets full summer practice.
Did they have to actually attend summer classes though? I thought they were just given a set time limit for summer practices by the NCAA? Pope stated that Jelavic couldn't workout with the team even if he arrived today because he hadn't been taking classes during the summer semester.
That’s with coaches present. Coaches get very little time. One hour a day I believe.
Don’t think the kids don’t continue to practice what they were instructed to do after the coaches leave. Having him here would be beneficial to everyone.
