I assume all officials assigned by the Big 10, but can Iowa decline an official?

The call against Bailey, not giving him the TD against Hardy is inexcusable.

And why is it that a Nebraska guy forces ours out and it's a stall, but if we do it, it's the action call? Egregious bias!

And how is it possible Caliendo didn't get the reversal, and also back points?!

When Jim Gibbons is vocally, adamantly, and multiple times on Iowa's side with calls, you know it's gotta be BAAAAD.

On the caliendo would be reversal you can hear him on his microphone acknowledging Nebraska’s guy broke his grip. That was the reversal once that happened and he called it out then said no reversal. He’s crooked and always has been

I’m not so sure it’s the angel hates Iowa, I think it’s more he thinks the dual is about him. He needs all the eyes on him. F’in loser.
Really This! He only hates Iowa in terms of NFL Refs vs Chiefs last season. Go out of your way to call crap to be noticed as they guy who doesnt show favoritism

I don't typically call out referee's because it's a tough gig, but JFC Rivera just sucks ***. He is F'ing
all-time awful . Just unbelievably bad officiating, and that's after a nice Hawks win, but he is complete dog ****.

I've defended him several times in the past on another site. Tonight he was HORRIBLE. From the Caliendo no reversal call live and then not changing it on review, to the Kennedy stall for the hell of it, to all the pushout stall calls (this is not freestyle and when you don't allow a circle in and push a guy out who is terminating the action??).

He does hate Iowa but he makes a ton of bad calls against PSU as well. It’s almost like he was the douche that got beat up a lot and now thinks he needs to defend the underdog and he does it by giving them crappy calls. It’s a horrible look for the guy in charge of officials to continue to assign him any work.

Im not sure what his worst call of the night was. Was it the non takedown with Bailey, the norm reversal for Caliendo, kennedy getting hit for stalling while not backing up and snapping into to the ground.

Not mention very late ts calls with Ayala, who has a td for a good couple second and actually looks at him to make the call and then he gives the 3. He also did that later in the caliendo or Arnold match. And the push the guy out is a stall but only sometimes. He is truly bad.

its the full body of work... including all the quick stall calls on us, and then Allred and Minto getting pushed around and never getting called. the Caliendo locked hands, reversal which he calls -which you heard on the broadcast - he reviews the locked hands, the second official has to remind him to look at the reversal and he's pissy about it so he glances at the screen and waves it off.

Great job by Iowa overcoming Angel and the corn gangsta crew! Nebraska fans are pretty cool actually but Manning is such a cry baby. Ryder Block made that place go quiet. He is getting better and better. I thought Drake looked like Drake again last night, so I was surprised some of you guys are still trashing him. We sat by a couple of old UNO wrestlers (old but much younger than me) and they were both Hawkeye fans. My grandson got his HWC hat signed by AJ who was super cool to talk with. He signed right next to Angelo. He does act like a clown at times but he was very kind. Iowa still owns Nebraska. These guys have tOSU coming in for Sunday which may make for a sad weekend for them. That was the best Iowa has looked since the OSU dual in Tulsa imo. Cruz stepped up huge. Calli beat a guy who is very tricky worse than he ever looses. PK looks a little off but gutted out a win over a tough dude. Block was money. Last but not least Gabe Arnold did a great job and actually wrestled to win the entire match. I love watching that version of Gabe.

Gabe gets an A+. Bumps up a weight and beats the #7 guy to seal the dual! 141 and 157 lose by a point on very questionable calls to returning finalists. Hawks looked really solid.

I also thought Bailey and Williams looked a lot better, even though they both lost. If they can keep improving their conditioning and building confidence, I could see them both as 6-8 range at NCAAs. They are definitely talented enough, just need to get a big win or two.

Angel blows. If it wasn't for a penalty point possibly affecting the outcome I was ok with Brands losing his **** and getting tossed. The call at 141 was bad, 157 stall on a blatant push was awful and not giving the reversal at 165 after the grip broke was criminal.
These all need independent reviews from B10 central location. Add the bad RT on PK in OT.

I even told my wife when they reviewed 165 "watch this dipshit not only not give the reversal or back points, but he won't even give the escape and put MC back down". She had no idea what I was talking about, but here we are. That and 141 no takedown were complete horseshit.

At the very least that should have been a reversal for Caliendo. On replay, it appeared the Nebraska wrestler was on his back for at least 4 seconds. Angel is beyond terrible and he proved that again last night.

The funny thing is he went to look for locked hands and not even look for the reversal. You can hear him say I think I have locked hands I gotta look at that and then wrestling continues and the reversal situation happens. He then goes to take a look and everyone assumed he was looking for the reversal

I think Angel took Nebraska -4.5.
Just botched the reversal call now on Caliendo.
How about some accountability for being awful at your job.
The Caliendo reversal and Bailey's TD v. Hardy were so obvious even Gibbons came down on Iowa's side and thought the calls needed to be reversed.

The problem is having a ref like AR who thinks he's god's gift to the sport reviewing his own calls. Of course he's not going to overrule himself and admit he was wrong. Especially if it helps Iowa.
