I know many didn’t enjoy Jimmy in the past but I liked him and his quirky sayings. He has always been complimentary of UK but I swear his tone has changed this year. Was he a Cal fan or a UK fan because he clearly has a different tone of UK to me this year.

I don't mind Jimmy Dykes. He doesn't bother me. Looks like the 'NASCAR cut' is one of his sayings this year with for UK.

To answer your question of “was he a Cal fan or a UK fan”, Jimmy Dykes was on the staff at UK well before Cal ever got a call to come here. Dykes was a UK guy before Cal.

Here's what I noticed about this crew...jinxes the whole lot of them! On the down side, they jinx announced us into missing a free throw. On the upside, they mentioned that 175 game thing 97 times.

Jimmy said we'd be one of the best teams in the country after we learned how to play together, during the first half, when we were down. He's been annoying this season to me, but I don't think he's a Cal guy. He also called Cal out over the last 5 years with Freshman. Moving on.

The thing about Jimmy is; I think he tries to hard to not be biased. I think it’s because he coached here. But he is annoying to me. Of course all announcers annoy me though so…

He seemed to be messing up a lot tonight. Kerr's "cramps" when you could see him roll his ankle on the replay, calling Oweh "Battle" twice, not just the wrong player but the wrong team, and he said "life shelf" instead of "shelf life." I think there were others. Maybe just a long week and a late night for him.
