I will be the first guy to say that class rankings are very overvalued. There is lots of schools with regular top 20 classes that are not playing well. With that said if you are going to spit out about class ranking at least be accurate.

UL is going to probably have a class ranked better than 35 and right now it is higher than UK class according to rivals. When it is all said and done both schools will have classes in the 25-35. While UL does have more Jucos than normal the class is not mostly Jucos. The reason UL has holes is because the WR and RB group got to senior heavy and Strong did not recruit the O-line very well. His last 2 groups were not good and most of his last class transferred out this summer leaving UL short on O-line depth. In general Petrino uses different styles of O-line guys than Strong. The good thing about the Jucos is they are all enrolled now so those 7 guys plus a true freshmen can be here for the Spring. As a rule I am not a big Juco fan but lots of schools that recruit well take a few to fill holes. Last year Petrino took 4. He redshirted a WR that will play this year and the other 3 all played a lot on defense this year including Sample who is going into the draft. Sure hope this group is as good.

SO in the end UL will have about 17-18 true freshmen and most will redshirt leaving plenty of 5th year seniors down the road.

Finally yes we know Wiggins was kicked off Georgia for violating team rules. I guess we are trying to be an SEC school. Auburn has taken several of these type kids and now Alabama is taking a player kicked off Georgia for an arrest.

Quite honestly, I care much more about results than I do "L1C4" or anything else. Cal is getting it done and owning Pitino and UofL on the court. UofL is having more success on the football field, winning the head-to-head 13 out of 21 times in games that have been played during my lifetime.

All the rest is just excuses. I am okay with losing to my archrival up to 50% of the time. More than that, and we need to find a way to do better. I have no use for UofL basketball fans who want to claim "yeah we lost, but L1C4", and I have no use for UK football fans who want to claim "yeah we lost, but we have it so hard in the SEC, and UofL lives to beat us, and UofL has a team full of criminals and (insert more excuses here)".

Pushupman are you denying that UofL picks up every player that they can that has been kicked off other teams for misdeeds or that your coach was rejected by the majority of college football after his misdeeds. I think this makes UofL at best a rogue football program and this is not even factoring in that I think they should now be on probation for some shady BS from the NROTY from Miami Hurtt.

I literally feel sorry for anyone that has L1C4 in their vocabulary. Since you claim that phrase only applies to basketball, then no, you are not doing anything right. You're 1-7 against the program you created the phrase in response to (and you look like fools at the same time). Not sure how that means you're doing anything right in regards to UK or UK fans. I actually do have ideas on what UofL needs to do better to close the gap in basketball. Since that is a basketball topic and we are on your football board, I will respectfully decline to take this thread on a basketball tangent.

Simply excuses for why UK isn't beating us on the field. In the end, none of those excuses matter (and the excuses of UofL fans do not matter in basketball, either). There aren't going to be any NCAA violations from our employment of Clint Hurtt - not even an investigation, so you might as well give up on that angle - just like UofL fans need to let go of Eric Bledsoe's questionable high school transcript.

And there are no sanctions and no repercussions with respect to wins and losses for UofL taking an occasional Josh Harvey-Clemons, a Michael Dyer, a Rod Council, a Nate Harris or a Willie Williams to improve the talent level of our roster. UK is in the SEC, the greatest football conference in the land. If I were a UK football fan, I would expect us to be able to recruit well enough to win at least half of our games against UofL - and it wouldn't matter what UofL did, as long as it was legal as far as the NCAA rules were concerned.

I have to admit that I love having them on the boards despite the fact that they frustrate me to no end. You get doozies like "Cantwell is better Brohm", "Jeff Brohm is the real brains behind the Petrino offense", "The Yum Center is already paid off", "Anthony Davis is just a product of hype and he's not even one of the best players on his own team." The constantly amaze us with their stupidity. I have to admit, I kind of love it and feel sorry for them at the same time.
