WTF? On the evening of January 13, 2024 pro Palestinian protesters were trying to tear down this fence in front of the White House. Doesn't attacking the White House qualify as a traitorous insurrection? Where are all the democrats especially the "Squad" hags to scream for prosecution of these thugs like they did about January 6th? Talk about hypocrisy.

Predictable whine. If they had breached the fence, they would have been tased or tear-gassed and rightfully so. If they had broken into the WH, they would have been shot and rightfully so. If they have damaged a fence or , otherwise, broken the law, they should be prosecuted accordingly. This isn't complicated. Stop pretending it is.

I doubt it. These protesters are playing for the "right team". Every effort would be made to subdue them without violence. Excuses would be made for them, and we would be told repeatedly about how this event was " mostly peaceful". Recently, the same group( or sympathizers) defaced the outside walls of the White House, with no repercussions. If a Conservative group had pulled that stunt, they would have been arrested, and rightfully so.
Why is it so hard for people on the left to acknowledge the truth?

The "right team?" LOL! Whose team? Who was in the WH? Trump? The people shouting , "**** JB" are on whose team? Because that sounds like people at at NASCAR event. Every effort to subdue without violence? Of course they should make every effort without violence. Just as they did on 1/6. Stop with these fictitious claims of no repercussions:

Playing for the right team just like the Floyd "rioters" who burned down a courthouse, destroyed countless police cars and caused 2 billion in damages. Then you have the HACK dei hire Kamala donating money for the defense of anyone arrested. Of the few rioters arrested most charges were eventually dropped. There is two systems of justice in Biden's system today and its scary.

Just like the BLM thugs and antifa scum in 2020 who were terrorizing cities over Floyd, some pro Hamas thugs were arrested, but will more than likely be released with no bail and with all charges dropped. That's not consequences.

AMY- your claims are simply ridiculous. Hundreds of 1/6 protesters got arrested. I am not referring to the violent ones. Many were sited for simply trespassing, and at that, some were invited in. Still, they spent months in jail before a bond hearing. Meanwhile, BLM/Hamas/Antifa protesters set buildings on fire, destroy property, and assualt. police. What do they get? At most an arrest, and then immediate release.
Nobody is buying your left wing Horseshit!

This thread is utterly ridiculous. There is a HUGE difference in a protest trying to interfere with day-to-day business -- and a protest trying to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power. You simply can't equate the two. But hey, nice try. Better luck next time.

This is one of the many right wing lies. No one was arrested Jan 6 for marching down the street and protesting. They were arrested for assaulting police, crossing police barriers, breaking and entering, damaging federal property. Same as the BLM portestors

Santa Monica looting: Over 400 arrested, businesses damaged as vandals set fires near George Floyd protest - ABC7 Los Angeles
You’re a blatant liar. The fact you can sleep at night while spewing this crap is testimony to your absolute depravity. It couples with your refusal to condemn child molesters to show you have no moral gauge at all.

Since "95% of those arrested during the looting do not live in Santa Monica" and are "not affiliated with the protests" does he really believe most of them got anything more than cite and release?

But, he sorta forgot to mention the follow-up lawsuit by BLM....

"Black Lives Matter-Los Angeles and other protesters filed a federal lawsuit this week against the city of Santa Monica over its response to the mass demonstrations that followed George Floyd’s killing in Minneapolis last year.

The lawsuit, which was filed Monday and seeks class-action status, accuses the city and the Santa Monica Police Department of using excessive force against protesters, arresting them without justification and subjecting them to inhumane conditions while detained.

It also alleges that the department unjustly focused on peaceful protesters while ignoring individuals who were burglarizing stores and committing other crimes nearby, and misused emergency curfew orders to clear the streets of legitimate demonstrators."

So BLM says the looters, etc were being ignored. Which is it?

why do you even ask, proof means nothing to the right.

Out of nearly 400 arrests, this was the outcome..

“33 people were convicted at trial or through a plea deal
  • 15 people received deferred judgments, meaning their case will be dismissed if they successfully complete probation and other requirements
  • 11 cases were dismissed
  • One person was found not guilty at trial
  • 21 cases remain open..”

Can you really be so stupid?

“Cities across the US have agreed to pay out a total of more than $80m in settlements to protesters injured by police during 2020 racial justice protests – a figure experts believe is unprecedented and will rise further as many lawsuits are still playing out…”

And more from Denver that @xuscx wants to leave out of his replies..

“The authorities in Denver approved a $4.7 million settlement on Monday for more than 300 protesters who were detained for violating an emergency curfew during demonstrations over the killing of George Floyd in 2020..”

“The settlement resolves a class-action lawsuit that accused Denver police officers of using excessive force to control crowds and enforce a curfew in 2020..

Pretty sure you didn't even read the article.

Of the nine people facing state criminal charges for alleged violent crimes, the most serious charges were filed against three people suspected of driving their vehicles into groups of people.

Anthony Knapp faces charges including attempted murder for allegedly intentionally driving his car into a group of police officers on May 30, 2020. Knapp struck three officers, breaking one officer’s leg, according to police documents. Knapp pleaded not guilty to the charges at arraignment and the case remains open.

Another man, Jacob Taylor, also faces attempted-murder charges for allegedly driving into a group of protesters on June 28, 2020, near Larimer and 21st streets. The Denver police probable cause statement alleges a group of protesters near the intersection damaged the car Taylor was driving and Taylor yelled, “I swear on my mama, I’m gonna get all of you.” Taylor then drove away but returned a short time later and at 30 mph struck a man walking in a crosswalk, a police officer who witnessed the incident told investigators.

Taylor fled the scene and abandoned the vehicle, but police later found him and arrested him. He has not yet entered a plea in the case, which remains open.

A third driver, Jennifer Watson, was found guilty of reckless driving by a Denver jury for driving her car through a group of protesters on May 28, 2020. A judge sentenced her to 48 hours of community service.

do you even check, or do you just follow the sheep over the cliff

Great source:

This piece was published in coordination with Zealous, an organization working to amplify the perspective of public defenders and appeared in Teen Vogue. There is a link to the original article at the bottom of this page.

This op-ed argues that the same oppressive system that was called out in 2020 is still hard at work.

Defendant Pushed Against and Struck Officers, Removed Metal Barriers, so you are saying attacking police officers is not a crime? Read carefully, no one on Jan 6 was sentenced for marching down the street and protesting, just like the BLMrs. If you attack a police officer, good luck
