The West Division of the Big Ten is horrible. But you know that. And it's a huge injustice that one of its members will, one more time, be sent to the slaughter in Indy a few weeks hence. Then, in 2024, USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon join the divisionless BIG. Where will the old West Division teams go to hide then? Oh, the humanity.

But on a brighter note, Iowa QB Deacon Hill riddled the air with passes today, nailing 10 completions in only 15 tries for a sizzling 67%, twice his figure going into the game. What's that you say? Only two or three of those passes traveled beyond the line of scrimmage in the air? Details.

And not only that, but the big boy only fumbled once, and Iowa even recovered it. Of course, he did toss an INT, but nobody's perfect, eh, Kirk?

So here the Hawkeyes are, once again leading the worst division in college football with a miraculous 4-2 record (7-2 overall). But if you watched Rutgers against Ohio State today, you should know that it'll take more than smoke-and-mirrors for the Hawkeyes to beat the Scarlet Knights next week. And the thing is, smoke-and-mirrors are all the Hawkeyes have. Well, except, of course, for the magic of Deacon Hill.

Nice call! 22-0 I think ... go home. Sometimes teams get better even after a bunch of injuries and other distractions. Just sit back and enjoy what Iowa IS not complain endlessly about what they are NOT. Try to enjoy it (if you are in fact a real Iowa fan, that may be a stretch actually). Go Hawks!
