This team may only have 2 one and dones on the roster, Kat and Lyles, depending on what Booker decides.

The OP is a troll and is the one who has posted multiple pro Louisville/anti UK pieces. Don't be fooled by this idiot. He's the one that first promoted that awful article about fixing games.

I think Kenneth Faried is an example of what hard work can do for yourself. He played at Morehead. Not exactly a powerhouse kinda of team but this guy is missing that point. Every division I school is an opportunity to make it to the next level. Regardless of the powerhouse schools.

Izzo is very thinned skin when it comes to criticism. He was heralded for his each of his players to attend at least 1 final four for a long period of time, then that kind of fell off lately and I think he's feeling some pressure.

Izzo, while a very good coach, would have been a mistake as a hire here at UK because he would implode during a bad year here.

That said, he was very successful with his method - but I don't think his recent struggles have anything to do with what Kentucky is doing.
Izzo took from tubby whatever player he wanted, that has stopped now that Cal is here. I can see him being a little upset with us.

Kentucky is not the problem with college basketball

The problem is two and a half decades of the NBA cherry-picking college basketball's best players before they graduate with lucrative contracts, and the NCAA greedily monetizing the student-athlete's work without the courtesy of compensating him...there's no middle ground despite all the dollars that go into NCAA basketball from many sources

Efforts to fix that problem are far more productive than a knee-jerk reaction aimed at one school which abets the best players by creating the most efficient transit from student to millionaire possible

Let's make one thing perfectly clear: the loudest voices for reform right now are not acting out of concern for this chronic abuse by both the NBA and NCAA. They are acting out of envy of the University of Kentucky.

It's shameful and exemplary of the same meiopic mentality that put us here in the first place

So why is it that when a football player is very highly ranked, you always see the same 4-5 schools on their list. Cal's philosophy and how he works the system is no different than how a school like Alabama does it in football. Is Bama ruining college football because they have a plethora of riches when it comes to recruiting the best players? Or have they gotten to that point because they are putting a ton of players in the NFL and winning or competing for national championships on the biggest stage?

Funny because MSUs most notable player in the NBA right now was a Tubby recruit....

Okay, so what this person is saying is "Let's take the actual recruiting approach away from college basketball and make it so every school can get the elite talent regardless of the amount of effort that is put into signing these players."

That's communism.

This may be the smartest thing I've ever seen written about college basketball players. Everyone against OAD argues that these players are "student-athletes", which they are, they go to class and learn to better their lives. But the ultimate goal of going to college is to prepare yourself in a career that will support you best for the rest of your life, and that's exactly what is happening on Kentucky's basketball team.
