Solid Marvel movie. Several funny moments mixed in with a lot of action. If you go, stay until after the credits. There were 2 sneak peeks and many people left after the first one.

In general I love superhero movies, but this one just doesn't interest me. Maybe I'll wait till TBS starts to play it 5x/wk then give it a go.
I'm going to see it mainly because it ties in Civil War no doubt and Ant Man is going to be in Civil War next year...so would be nice to have background on his character a bit. Avengers III: CIvil War (oh I mean Captain America 3) should be awesome next year.
Reviews are good, so far... I may give it a shot. Thanks for the tip on the 2 extra clips during/after the credits. Did you go 3-D on it?
Ant-Man wouldn't have been my choice for a Marvel movie... but I gather this "Civil War" storyline is the target, and I stopped reading comics a looooooooong time before that. Most of these movies are using the more recent stuff, and I am unfamiliar with those tales.
I'll cross my fingers on the upcoming Doctor Strange movie. Hopefully, they'll use a lot of the original Stan Lee & Steve Ditko material for that one.
Ant Man just doesn't do it for me, either. Not sure I'll even rent it unless word of mouth is incredible.
If he doesn't climb up someone's pee hole and start punching the walls at least once, the movie is an abject failure
On the surface (name only) an "Ant Man" super hero sounds silly. Evil Orkin-man sprays him with raid and movie ends.
Spider-Man worked well, but that character was well known before he hit the big screen.
Hopefully it will go over well with kids and every one else.
I enjoyed it. I went in with low expectations and came away pleasantly surprised. I also didn't think this character would translate very well to the big screen but I thought it was well done. Marvel has been doing an excellent job with their movies so I will likely give them all a shot. DC better step up their game.
I thought it was in the top half of Marvel films. Not on the level of Cap2, Guardians or the first Iron Man, but worth seeing.
