Does anybody know what we have with Anton Gill? Is he going to be a 'guaranteed' started?

I know its from awhile ago but watch some of his high school highlights on youtube. I saw him in the scrimmage they had before the season started and i thought he was close to being just as good as a shooter as Andrew White. I'm excited to see him play with Watson and White next year.

Jacobsen is starting over Hammond right now, so doubtful that will change. Hammond has his moments but is so inconsistent I just don't see him as a starter unless the light finally goes on. I think next year is the first year Miles will have 8-9 Big Ten caliber players.

I think you will see Roby being one of the first people off the bench in my opinion. Just hoping Miles can get a true center for next year. If that happensI honestly think next years team could make a sweet 16 run.

Yeah and I hope we get him, but I think if we don't we could look for a possible grad transfer who could come in and play right away next year.

We still have a chance at some SR Transfers to fill the Center position. I am sure if we don't get a high school or JUCO big man that they will make a run at about every SR Transfer Center. Bielfeld (sp?) is a SR Transfer from Michigan who started for Indiana at Center last night and was seriously considering the Huskers last year before picking Indiana. He would have been a welcome addition to the Husker Roster this year.

Center needs are glaring. Jacobson will be a nice player by his Junior/Senior seasons, but likely at the 4, not the 5.

The interesting thing is when/if Morrow plays up to his ability. He seems to be the perfect 4 if he can harness his talent.

IF Nebraska can land a serviceable center (and I'm not talking about a Moses Abraham type player), then it is definitely within reason that Nebraska could make the NCAA tourney next year and maybe even be favored to win a first round.

Roby won't redshirt. He's one of the most talented recruits we've signed in a long time. I think he'll see quite a few minutes off the bench.

Another year hitting the weights and practicing his skills against D1 players and it won't take him until his Jr/Sr seasons for him to be a nice player.

Thats pretty solid. Adding a true 5 that can play starters minutes would put us in tournament run territory. Adding that and a combo guard we can redshirt would be ideal.

Jacobson reminds me a lot of Brandon Ubel as a freshman. If Jacobson can put on muscle and develop like Ubel did, he could be a very good player. I think Ubel was very underrated mainly because he didn't have any talent around him to help him. That won't be a problem with Jacobson.

Our backcourt next year will be loaded. White, Watson, Gill and Roby were all Top 100 recruits, plus Webster and McVeigh are solid players off the bench. Now we need to sell Tshimanga (or another post) on the fact that he will have a great point guard the next 3 years to get him the ball.

That's a good point. The announcers in the game against IU talked about him hitting the weight room as soon as the season is over and I thought just look at the pictures of him as a senior in HS. He's obviously already hit the weight room hard.

I'm just curious to see how this will all shake out once Morrow gets more playing time. Frankly, I see much more upside from Morrow, but they both should be playing the 4 and neither should be the 5.

Yeah Ubel was like a 20% 3-point shooter, not really an outside threat. By his senior year he was pretty physical down low, averaging 7 rebounds a game. But the comparison with Jacobson was moreso that they were similar in size and production as freshmen. If Jacobson develops like Ubel he could put up similar stats down the road (12 pts, 7 rebs / game).
