I know you keep up with GA track. They say he ran a 10.79 in the 100. Not sure where that would put him in GA but that would have gotten 2nd at the KY state meet

Depends on classification, GA has 8, 10.79 would have won some of them, wouldn't have made the podium in some of the others. But regardless it's fast for a LB and that is all that matters now.

Actually, Smith himself posted that he just ran a personal best 10.6 in the 100 to make advance in his sectional track meet.

Not sure if that was hand or laser timed, but as Grumpy said, that should still translate to good speed for a LB.

Not laser time at sectionals,and because of that state records can only be broken at state track meet which is. But the difference between 10.69 and 10.60 is little it's hard to tell who was first.
