Any chance this health care bill passes in anything near its current form?

looks like AARP is circling the wagons on this issue and we know, they have the ability to pretty much kill it.

It'll pass, but not the way it's currently put together. Read my other post, it'll answer your question as to what the final legislation will look like.

I read that. Seems to move it more toward the ACA.

Not at all. If Repubs have the stones to use tax policy to adjust those medicare subsidies and encourage Insurance companies to offer more alternatives including a pared down "essential services" policy...the primary cost drivers behind the ACA's unaffordability will be erased.

The ACA restricted consumer choices while subsidizing the very sick who bled the system. This undoes all of that, and allows healthy people to buy only the care they need, or to pass on it if they prefer in exchange for catastrophic only policies leaving subsidies only for the very sick or very poor who will have cheaper Insurance but still more choices and better care options.

It's a good alternative, and it will get passed as soon as they end the basic coverage mandates, cap malpractice claims, and adjust the subsidies on policies that were driving up costs.

I am quickly approaching the age for the death panels...... But once I can no longer take care of my harem, I am going off a bridge anyway. Probably will be right after a WVU loss of some kind too.

I just ask for 1 Championship before I finish my part of this relay around the track. I only need 1.

Not what the AARP website is saying

read and re-read that article I linked to earlier in this thread OM1. That's the best rundown/analysis (minus any political bias from the AARP) you are going to get on it. You won't find elimination of elderly benefits in there, just new choices for them to make.

It is very well done, as well as accurate.

Too many other groups opposing it too; hopitals and hospital associations, doctors associations, nurses associations and even some conservative groups.

countryroads89 and other Leftists agree with Conservatives over problems in the AHCA!

Miracles happen.
