I love my Cats and I'm as diehard as they get and as mad as I was Saturday against southern miss I still can't quit on my team. I'm just born blue and that's all their is to it I'm just hoping for a slim chance of a upset but I just don't see it happening. Anybody feel like I do. I want them to win so bad. I love football season but it's taken its toll on me.

No, UK hasn't beaten Florida in 3 decades. This is a ranked Florida team in Gainesville against a bad, so I guess normal, UK team. I doubt the players even think they have a chance so UK has likely already mentally forfeited.

Yes, this chance is there for the BIG UPSET!!! All UK needs to do is play better and score more points than UF.

Go Big Blue, go, go, go, win the game!!!

Never say never right? Still I'm with you OP. After blowing that lead last week it's hard to muster any hope we'll go on the road and beat a team we haven't beaten in what will be 30 years. Geez we likely have a ton of people on this board who weren't even born the last time UK beat Florida in football. Your right it has to end, it's the most miserable thing in my sports fan life, but I don't think it will this year.

It wouldn't be that big of an upset as Florida is not that good.

I was interested to see how other SEC teams have fared against the Gators. Only Arkansas (1982) and Texas A&M (1977) have gone longer than UK in regards to beating Florida (A&M has only played them twice). The Gators own a 9 game winning streak over the Hogs, which could end this season in Fayettenam.

The other teams in the West all own victories over the Gators in the last ten years (in limited action) - Bama (2015), LSU (2105), Auburn (2011), MSU (2010), Ole Miss (2008) and they all notched wins against Urban Meyer.

On the east side, UT is in the midst of an 11 game losing streak to Florida (2004). Vandy and UGA both beat them in 2013 with SC and Mizzou winning in 2014.

Florida has been good at times over the last 30 years, but they've had some pretty mediocre teams too during that time - which makes this streak mind-boggling.

Respectfully disagree.
UK has lost something like 30 in a row to UF.
The game is in the Swamp.
UK just lost at home to S. Miss after leading by 25 pts.
UF is favored by 17 pts.
Make no mistake about it....it would be a "Huge" upset. "Huge" as in a few Gator fans would probably kill themselves if UK went down there and won.

I don't think you would see any Gator fans taking a swan dive from the upper deck at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium as they have seen losses to the likes of GA Southern, Vandy, SC and Mizzou there just in the last three seasons.

Upset stomach with lots of reflux that Tums or Prevacid won't help.

Make it a quick death and save yourself the frustration and check ESPN around 645

I'd say there's a chance. Always a chance. Hey, why play the lottery if there isn't a chance?

Considering they have won the last....what is it....28, 29, 30 games against us? I'd say the probability for a UK win is pretty low.

Yes.
I actually think we do it this year.
Gators are not that good, comparing the last 2 years I think we are much better. I believe that playing early is actually to our advantage.
Streak ends.
Go Cats!

Over 30 years you'd expect winning at least one game accidentally. LOL

Here's the chance an over matched defense plays a decent game. The offense quits celebrating before the game is over. Fla quits running the ball and decides to pass instead.

I will be at The Swamp hoping to see the upset, but don't expect it for sure. If anyone who knows me asks, I won't let on that I am secretly thinking "why not"? I realy don't thnk the Gators are "that" formidable this year,, kinda like the last several years, they are certainly beatable, our D will have to be much better at the line of scrimmage. Are they capable? I don't know but one game is too small a sample to say either way.

If we can score 28+ I think we have a real shot at the W as UF just doesn't have a lot of firepower even with our woes. 21+ keeps us within the spread at minimum.

Make no mistake. This game is on the offense to go win it. The D is what it is. We should play aggressive and try to force turnovers instead of stops.

It'll happen in a year when we least expect it.

That said, we might have a shot as long as we don't jump out to a big lead.

Sure they can be upset, I mean only a 17 point win over lowly UMass. We have a lot of offensive fire power and our special teams has played well this year, minus the one mishandled snap on a field goal. Defense is another story. Don't know what defense will show up, but they can make some adjustments and get some things fixed. Florida isn't exactly Houston on offense - so we'll see.

I'm not sure the punting game is anywhere near "playing well"

They were pretty flat against UMass. So I am expecting another 73-10 type game like we saw when Tebow or Spurrier were there.

Been 18 years since UK lost the 2nd game in a season....one record will be broken.

That we can be assured of.

Here's the bottom line. For 30 years fans have been predicting 8 wins with a winning conference record and a win over Florida.

Neither has happened in that span, so forgive me for thinking that you all are beyond delusional for even thinking we have a shred of a chance at beatung florida with a team that just gave up 44 points and 600 yards to a directional school.

The 2nd game of the season was typically reserved for our worst opponent following a game with UofL and before the SEC schedule started to prevent a likely 0-2 start, up until 2014 when the game was changed to the last of the season. So not sure that stat means anything.
