Didn’t MC already win the State Title? This time finally playing in 8A? They beat Loyola and LWE you know.

They are used to playing in a nicer stadium and parking with peace of mind that their cars won't be stolen.
Felt safe at Dante as we parked next to the MC tailgaters with the can Koozies hiding the beer can logos, holding the cow bells, just hoping the BBQ grills were extinguished so the Chicago mounted patrol unit horses wouldn’t get startled with my EV whirring. Just wanted to obey the directives from MC on protocol. May want to bring your toilet seat covers however.

Would be appreciated.
Back to topic of post, my feedback based on our game...

Fremd Offense- Obviously centered around the QB... he is really impressive. Evanston's DLine was strong (despite our record) and we put good pressure on him, but only 1 sack. He's really good an eluding pressure and finding someone downfield or using his legs. Very capable runner. MC's DLine is obviously incredible, so I think they will be in the backfield often and just need to keep contain discipline to bottle him up (especially from right edge as he likes to go left). They ran 20 times (mostly in 2nd half with solid lead) for ~80 yards. Did not see an explosive element in their run game.

Fremd Defense- Hard to say, honestly, as Evanston's offense struggled mightily against all 6 playoff teams we faced. We scored once on a long TD pass (70 yards) to our D1 level WR/ track star who just ran by a guy. My impression is the strength of the defense is solid LBs who stop the run (although MC's OLine might be a whole new animal to face). Very hard for any team's DBs to match the athleticism of MC's receiving group and I expect that to be the case here.

I would not expect a particularly close game. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I hope I'm wrong simply because I think having competitive games at this stage is better for everyone.

This is the team Fremd had been waiting for the last four years. This senior class with O'Brein has been like a pit bull in a python- and so far they haven't disappointed. They did lose to Barrington but O'Brein was out injured that game. No way they lose that game with him playing. Their only other "close" game was against Palatine, which is a crazy rivalry game and can't always be counted as indicative.

So the tight game against Bolingbrook last week was probably actually good for them, as they now know they can win a close game.

Their defense is sneaky good, although I was kinda surprised the way Bolingbrook ran on them last week. Having seen both LWE and Fremd defenses recently, I'd actually rate Fremd's as better. So, it'll all come down to the QB and if they can keep up with Mount Carmel. I have a sneaking suspicion it'll be a better game than the LWE one.
