Yeah, can we just peel off this band-aide and not take us all the way down to wire like Wendell last Spring...
Yeah I remember that...and I absolutely get that all the OAD want and deserve their "moment" to declare... but speaking for the fan-base I've always though its cruel...even last year, we all knew Wendell wasn't coming back...but then news reports of his mom saying how coming back improves quality of life, he delays the announcement, and delays...then Bam.

Wendell Carter took his sweet time last year; Frank Jackson waited til the last day or two the year before; Jabari Parker, for whatever reason, took more than a month to declare for the draft a couple years ago. It's painful waiting for the announcement. This year, we don't really need to wait on Zion, RJ, or Cam. It's happening. The only question marks will be with Tre Jones and Marques Bolden... and whether or not Matthew Hurt signs with us.
We will get an idea of what’s going on in the next few days based on offers we put out. If we offer Watford I’m sure that means Ques is gone. If we offer Kira Lewis, Tre is gone. When is the deadline?
Just assume everyone is gone and be shocked when someone returns.

My Cheat friends seem to believe Zion will return and getting very nervous. Never would’ve thought I would be the one telling them “he’s not coming back so stop dreaming”
I think some of these kids actually struggle with the decision more than we think they do. The realization that something is over forever can be hard for 19 year olds to come to grips with.
It's been a while since we've been pleasantly surprised by someone unexpectedly returning. Bolden sure. Grayson, but he wasn't exactly a hot commodity after his bizarre junior year.
Helpful tip. Expect everyone to leave and anyone who you think might return, expect them to leave too. Just save yourself the agony and accept the fact we don’t have any luck when it comes to returning players. Duke will reload, but expect those players to leave as well.
I think Tre is a little more than 10%. I expect he is gone, but I really wouldn’t be too surprised if he comes back
There is emotion associated w/ leaving a place you really love even after just one year, but that doesn't necessarily translate to its being a difficult decision.

All I know is if any of our big 3 say they are "thinking about it" I'm not falling for it. Think all you want they're still gone. I fall for it every year. Not this year. If you're going just don't say how close you were to returning. Tre is the only one thinking about it, as far as I know. And he should. Sorry if I sound bitter.
