We don't normally take CC's. Some government agencies are going that route, and we're doing more work in residential with Automation/Control that we may need to start taking some.

I don't think we need a full blown Merchant Account, and was wondering about using a company like Square or Stripe.

Doc, what do you use? Merchant Account?

Square is pretty good. Get you an iPad or iPhone and that's all you need.

That's what I'm leaning towards. Stripe is 2.9%, Square is 3.5% (for manual entries), and seem to be less of a hassle since we don't need to process cards very often.

We use moneris, whatever you use, you can get one company to bid against another. I think we are down around 2.5%. I'll have patients ask about cash and I tell them that my credit cards only take 2.5%. The moneris is thru my dentrix software provider for my dental office. Almost all companies will be under 3% if you let them know there are competitors.

I was reading an article about P2P disruptors a couple of days a go and they were talking about Zelle being one of the first that's partnered with a lot of banks. It's interesting because payment disintermediation is a huge deal in the world of financial services. Anywho, might be worth checking out. I'm not sure how it would work for a company versus P2P.

We use Electronic Merchant Services and they charge 2.4%
