It’s somewhat like an offensive lineman, the block is what happens after contact is made.
The successful ones start with a low single with a good angle and are immediately to their feet, which is the best way to eliminate the scramble.

184 has 4 dogs imo. Mckenelly, Ferrari, Welsh and Sinclair. There's a drop off after those 4.

I understand your point a bit but he also needs to adjust to D1 so Im excited to see how good he can be.
I'm not totally sold on Welsh yet as being in that tier. His best career win so far was non-AA Patrick Kennedy in OT.
I think the bottom wrestling concerns are legit but he is so strong. It’s going to be very interesting to see how he develops this year.
I think he is the weakest of the four myself, but hard to dismiss a national finalist who lost 2 to 0 to starocci in the finals tbh
