Any predictions on the UT contest?

They've hung 50+ on us two years running I think....hell, maybe three! But if we can find a way to lose this one we can drop back to bottom feeder status with a Vandy team that beat UGA:flush:

I'm afraid being on the road we lose this one and lose to freaking hooker U..... Get to 6 with the P win and go bowling. Although I wanted more and my expectations were a bit higher, I'm coming around on Stoops. We are headed in a good direction and are losing very few players. I want 8 or 9 wins next year though. There will be no excuses next year period.

Score will be something along the lines of 48-21 UT. Tennessee now has a really legitimate chance at an SEC East title and will be playing with an edge (which is a scary thought). Just a bad bad matchup for us. Hate to say it but get the feeling that the wheels are going to fall completely off after missing yet another big opportunity at home.

P.S..if anyone ever wants to know why fans are reluctant to pack Commonwealth, I present to you the mistake-filled, conservatively-coached loss we experienced on our home field last night where our fans were yet again bent over and forced to take repeated punches in the gut.

I predict a loss as it is at UT, they have better players, and we always find a way to lose to UT.

I think the players went"all in" for the UGA game I wonder what we have left in the tank for UT,if we can compete in this one it will say something about this team.Playing back to the wall must win games week after week will eventually catch up to any team,we have really held up pretty well all things considered.

Last night was a tough one to take,so much on the line and we were right there. The game had a different feel to it,one we have not had around here in several years.

If it's anything like the last 3 years it'll be another rout. During that 3 year period UK's failed to compete, looked totally disinterested, played with little desire, with predictable results.

I think they win. They have multiple 5-star players. More talent. They are supposed to win. If Kamara is still out, we can upset them though.

I'm thinking ~3 td blowout. I think this team is still too fragile mentally to put s tough loss behind them and regroup/rebound. We'll be on the other side of the kind of atmosphere that we benefitted from last night.

I think y'all beat Tennessee. We should have if not for a stupid Hail Mary on the last play of the game. And they have regressed greatly since then.
I watched us against us and you guys, don't sell yourself short. Y'all have a very good team, we were fortunate to get out of there with a W. Good luck the rest of the way.

I agree....UT will trounce us again! UK cannot play with UT, or FLA.....they'll come out, hit us in the mouth and the route is on once again! Won't even be close....I'm thinkin' 52 - 17. And 17 is generous!

Derek Dooley-type coaches like Kirby are unlucky and find ways to lose games.

Still SERIOUS doubts about Stoops being the guy...have someone in mind that if he was on the sidelines last night we win that game by 4tds, but I'll still be there at every game.

I predict you'll be here crowing like a fool if the Cats lose...that's a guaranteed winner right there.
IF you think MS is the guy, who's the bigger fool? Like I said, I'll still be there in Kville cheering like hell while I'm sure you may be watching on tv.

I thought our only shot was if we got a noon kickoff.

Well, we got one.

(However, I came up with that when I thought we'd probabaly beat UGA).

Score last year was very misleading. We were up 14-10 midway through second quarter as boom went out. Then they scored four touchdowns in a three minute spurt. (2 special teams scores).

I thought we could beat Georgia and we almost did, but I don't believe we can defeat Tennessee this weekend. I hope we play well and continue to do good things and keep improving like we have been. I want to see us go to a bowl and beat a decent team that has a winning record. The only team we've defeated this year with a winning record, so far, is South Carolina at 5-4, like us. They've found a quarterback and are better now than when we played them.

I think it will be tough to win in their place. I don't see a 30+ beat down, either. I think we will go run-heavy and force them to load up. Run time off of the clock in a very physical game. We need to limit their possessions and then it could be a competitive game.

I think we have a real shot in this game. We have better defensive speed than we have enjoyed in recent years, maybe in memory. Jones and Dobbs are probably going to be well acquainted by half time. I am optimistic that our kids can contain the guy. He is going to get his shots in. I just want to see him limited to a few "semi-explosive" plays.

I think our running game (with adequate attention given to demonstrating a passing threat) will still function well in Neyland, and once again help us shorten the game. I am not certain of a win, but I expect a closer game than most of you, and do not see the situation as already decided. Certainly, if we can step away from our turnover margin trend, we have the personnel to eek it out.

I'll go with a flip of the script a week later. Cats win 27-24.

Maybe UT plays to form and spots us a 3 TD lead, with our running game it would be enough to hold them off
