Wrestlestat has him ranked 79th, 3 behind Steen at 76. He’s apparently leading D1 in Tech Falls with 9. Obviously the competition is different in the Big Ten, but I like to check out local athletes doing well (relatively).

F&M grad here. I'm an old-timer. I remember going to watch Iowa State visit in the early '70s. They beat F&M something like 49-0, and Chris Taylor was a beast at Unlimited. The guy he wrestled from F&M had something like a 200-lb disadvantage.

You're right. In high school at Manheim Township, when they had Mayser Gym sold out for the McCaskey-MT dual, Devanney topped Mike Axe of McCaskey for the 21-19 win. Axe was 1st team all state OG at McCaskey and went to Bucknell.
