Anybody else expect McCabe's minutes to be cut when conference play begins?

He's giving up a lot of straight-line drives, isn't passing very well, turning the ball over a lot, overdribbling and shooting sub 25% overall from the floor. I think he can play better than he is right now but how much longer does Huggs go with him as the starter?

Yes, I think it’ll be McBride and Sherman getting most of the minutes with knapper giving them rest. Haley will run point also if he gets out of doghouse..

All of the other point players, including the point forwards, can play defense and knock people around, those aren't McCabe's strong suits. If you can't play tough "d" you ride the pine in Huggins land.

I have yet to see one of our point guards stop anyone. McCabe is the only one that can lead the offense. Besides Haley and we need him elsewhere. Knapper, McNeil, Sherman and Harler are a 2. If anyone Harler is the one who's minutes get cut in conference play just like last year.

McBride has no idea how or when to pass. He gets the ball and wants to keep it. Loves to dribble if he drives drive he's lost when he does. He has a lot of work to do. People act like McBride needs to start but just because you're on the floor first doesn't mean you get the most minutes. McNeil and McBride are the first 2 off the bench.

To your lack of knowledge McCabe has been playing injured. Coming off surgery this past summer and now has a foot issue.

Straight line drives. Ok. Go watch some McBride tape. Actually watch it. Straight line with him nowhere in site. He still wont dribble left handed and how's he shooting the ball? Which is what he likes to do most. Oh the blinders people wear. McCabe's go down better hope knappers go up and not mcbride or the st John's game becomes the norm.

Lol ok. Leave basketball IQ to the professionals. You just worry about trying to troll Ohio State fans

The situation will always be fluid with Huggins about every player. They screw up, they sit the bench for long, long minutes and get the message. EVERY player on this team has been inconsistent. All have had good games and bad games. It's a young team. That's why young teams do. WVU will be much better for March Madness than the Mountaineers are now. After Youngstown comes Ohio State, maybe the best team in the country. The Buckeyes probably will win in December but not so much if they meet WVU in March Madness.

Neither McCabe or McBride is the Answer, but they will get better. I like McBrides defense, his willingness to bring some offense. Yeah he needs more assists but I saw him make some good passes during the last game that oddly enough Mathews couldn't get his hands around.

You think Knappers mins need to go up? Good grief. He is not a PG, he doesn’t make many shots. He just provides depth.

Knapper is one of your better perimeter defenders.
Best I have seen him play is off the ball on offense with Haley handling the point.

Matters who you play.
Teams with guards who create penetration I think playing Knapper over McCabe is better.
