Recently, I am getting "waiting" message for nearly everything. Turn on; Google; Wvsports; Gazette; Daily news. And I am frequently just freezing and have to shut down and occasionally turn computer off. Reboot is historically slow.

Anyone with suggestion to correct?

Does your computer have anti-virus software? It costs about $50 per year and after you set it up it runs once per day and it also checks as you go if you're getting any bad stuff on your computer. You can set it up to run whenever you want, presumably over night when you're not using. But maybe it can't run if your computer is turned off. But anyway, malware and ad and stuff can get onto your computer over time and slow it down.

McAfee doesn't provide that?

I don't know exactly what McAfee does. There are lots of different kinds and some are free and some aren't and I really don't know what's good and what's bad except that I pay $50 per year under the assumption that if I'm paying then I'm getting a higher quality but maybe that's wrong and I'm getting taken. Hopefully someone else here that knows more can pitch in an opinion.

Previous computer locked up and had to be replaced. $50 sounds like a bargain after that.

Oh, I was on the phone with a group that calls pretty frequently telling me they are representing Windows and need to get access into my computer to fix it. Regardless of how much I cuss them and their ancesters, they call again two months later.
