probably not going to find a team willing to take on a game mid season unless another home school team. Reynolds and Union are full and looks like most TN teams only play 10 games

Yep Lanier Christian has open date and dont have full schedule. Flowery Branch a decent drive but lot closer than Central Davidson was.

I would definitely give Lanier Christian a call, they don't have a full schedule and have an open date that week. Flowery Branch isn't close but isn't that far either, 2 hours at most.
Staesville Christian in Statesville, NC also has an open date on Oct 5th and do not have a full schedule. They play schools like Carolina Gladiators and Hickory Hawks that Andrews and Robbinsville play. Statesville ain't exactly close by but I would still give them a call if finding a game is a priority.
Lanier Christian and Statesville Christian are about the only two semi realistic options I came across from a quick Maxpreps search.

I was gettin ready to say, surely to tha Good Lord above mag is watchin these posts and can name a world beater that nobody in tha SMC can beat and throw there names at unz!!! I've got a question, is there really any of us posters that has any kinda control over schedulin a game!??
I agree with magnum. If Murphy doesn't play Alcoa then they are weak and shouldn't even field a football team.
I thought every one was scared of Murphy? Alcoa is open that night. Why not? Do you only play small teams or do you want real competition. Would love to see someone like ACR play you guys but they are booked. Why not try playing a good team instead of all these trash home school teams you guys in the smc load your schedules up with every season.

So you are trashing a 1A for not playing Alcoa. Answer me this: why don’t your football powerhouses schedule Alcoa? You guys are closer to them in size and distance. Instead you guys play down one or two classes in size. Take a minute and examine your argument. When you do hopefully you will realize what a sad pathetic sense of logic you have. You accuse the SMC of what you are doing.
Well, considering the SMC has placed a team in the state championship for the last 10 years, it doesn't seem to be hurting them. How many teams does ACR schedule that are bigger than they are? I'll wait.
Pisgah tried to get Mountain Heritage[Magnums team]to play us two years ago .Guess they thought Hayesville would be a better game.
Trying to schedule Mountain Heritage if Hayesville drops them ,but have tried to schedule them 2 years in a row.
According to coach Chappell, the Bears will play MH fifth game instead of Greeneville Tennessee next year.
Dude you're a Mitchell fan. Don't ever call out Reynolds because they would stomp a mud hole in Mitchell any season. They play teams like Shelby and many 4A teams year in and year out. They have an open date next year from dropping Owen. Murphy could drop a powder puff home school team and add them. I posted this on the 3A board. It's comical.
Lol, Heritage? They are nothing but a slightly better SMC team. They play Hendersonville and Erwin so why would they be scared to play Murphy?
Yep. Reynolds would most definitely stomp Mitchell every single year, you know, we ARE a small 1a school. Now, I ask, how many teams does ACR schedule that are bigger than they are? Shelby isnt. So can't use that excuse... Mitchell has 1 team on their schedule that is smaller. The mountaineers are in the smallest classification and they have played a team from every class since dropping to 1a.
I'm still waiting magdum... how many teams larger than Reynolds havethe rockets scheduled this year?
Shelby is one the best programs in state history and most years they are better than 95% of the teams in 4A. It's one thing for Murphy or Robbinsville fans to talk trash but for a Mitchell fan that is just comical. What has Mitchell ever done worth a crap.
