Our local news reported the suspect is in the country illegally. I guess we will find out if this is true
Just about every major news outlet is reporting that he was, in fact, an illegal immigrant.
I’ve heard that there are a lot of meat packing plants and chicken processing places around there. Places that use legal and illegal immigrants.
You can say the same for any place in America that relies on the farm industry.

People have always disappeared, until very recently they were never found and no one knew about it. Read Devil In The White City. Creepy dude built an apartment building in Chicago with a torture chamber for young women in the basement. 100 women who all rented an apartment in the same building disappeared during the Colombian Worlds Fair and it took several years for anyone to notice. The world is less violent than it has ever been in history right now, but people freak out like it’s crazy.

As to the world is less violent is laughable. Yeah easile to get away with crime back then, but dam what a dumbass take. Basically North America, Australia, and certain parts of Europe are safe.

Whatever you think about violence in non-white countries (basically what you picked out) levels of violence in our world have never been lower in all of human history. Sorry, it’s true. War and crime are diminishing across the globe as prosperity increases. People say it’s worse, but they are wrong. The data and facts just don’t bear that out. It’s not only less violent now, it’s multiple times less violent. I am correcting you because people use false statements about how bad things are right now to advance narratives of hate and fear. The truth is it is by far and away statistically the best time ever for a human being to be alive. Outside of 2 or 3 very small pockets of the world every other place is doing better than it has ever done.
