I have a friend who will never realize how lucky he is to have a wife that makes $400-500K a year.I have a bucket list item to see every MLB team in their home park and will be traveling to Minneapolis over Labor Day weekend to get #28 (just Milwaukee and Detroit remaining).
If you are trying to do this too - how many do you have left? Which ballparks?
Good luck, that's a nice bucket list item.I have a bucket list item to see every MLB team in their home park and will be traveling to Minneapolis over Labor Day weekend to get #28 (just Milwaukee and Detroit remaining).

Camden was our fave - big O's fans from way back - even saw them once at Memorial Stadium. We would pick a weekend every year and go to a Saturday night game and then Sunday afternoon, and drive back to NC after the Sunday game. Durham Bulls park was designed by the same architect as Camden Yards.I'm trying to hit them all. I have been to 12 so far, 15 if you count old Yankee Stadium, RFK, and Candlestick Park. I just hit Texas this June, nice park, Texas Live is awesome. Detroit was last summer. The park was excellent and the City was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed Detroit, although I did stay in the downtown area and didn't venture out of it. So far Camden Yards is probably my favorite park, I have probably been there 25 times. Pittsburgh has the best view from the seats and is a great park with a terrible team. Next season I am thinking I'll hit St. Louis and KC. When I retire in 2 years its gonna be on!
Dedicated to the MLB stadia or the MiLB stadia? Or both?i completed this mission a few years ago. My first game was in Yankee Stadium in 1965 with my father. I saw Mickey Mantle hit a home run. That’s been my favorite. Many teams have built new stadiums since I visited. I’ve seen the Senators/Rangers in three different ballparks. I’m now trying to visit as many minor league ballparks as possible.
There is a Stadium Chasers group on Facebook dedicated to this feat.
So my goal is to see a game in every MLB city to “meet the goal,” but then I go back to the new parks later when I can (but not obsess over it). So I have been to 3 Atlanta parks for instance. At some point I need to “re-do” Cincinnati, Texas and the A’s, but I will still call the chase “complete“ after hitting Detroit and MilwaukeeFor clarification, when you say 30, are you just talking the stadium in which the team was playing when you went? Or would you have to circle back to Atlanta if you had been to Fulton-County Stadium but not either of the next 2 stadia there?
40 years ago this week, I ventured out on my post-bar exam trip. Caught games in KC, StL, Comiskey, Wrigley, Tiger Stadium, Fenway, and Baltimore's Memorial Stadium. Over the years, have also been to Oakland, Turner in ATL, 2 of the Rangers stadia, Shea, and both Jarry Park and Olympic in Montreal. Living in Houston, have probably been to over 100 games in both the Dome and our current park. So I guess that's 13 out of 30.
Yeah it‘s been over 25 years since I saw 30I haven't even watched TV games at that many stadiums. I was thinking there's no way Rikster is just about to turn 30. Good luck on knocking the last 2 off your list.
So the current ones that kind of suck IMO are Tampa and the White Sox. Oakland was in that group but that park isn’t active any longerI see you’ve saved the best for last!
in all seriousness that’s pretty cool. I’ve never known anybody to do this - it’s a pretty cool feat and you have to travel quite a bit to accomplish it. I’ve only been to games at 4 stadiums, Turner Field, Suntrust field, Coors field and Wrigley.
So far, what’s your least favorite stadium?
Your most favorite?
When you go to KC be sure to hit the Negro Leagues MuseumI'm trying to hit them all. I have been to 12 so far, 15 if you count old Yankee Stadium, RFK, and Candlestick Park. I went to Michigan for law school 1998 and got to see last month of old Tiger Stadium...for five bucks I could sit/stand on first base dugout pre-game and talked to Jeter and Pudge and every All Star that came through! Awesome except for the burnt cars lining the street out frontI have a bucket list item to see every MLB team in their home park and will be traveling to Minneapolis over Labor Day weekend to get #28 (just Milwaukee and Detroit remaining).

I met Pudge on my Texas trip this June. He was in the bar at the Loews hotel next to the stadium. He was in town for Elvis Andrus' induction into the Rangers Hall of Fame. Super nice guy, took time to talk to us and get a couple of pictures. I was impressed.I went to Michigan for law school 1998 and got to see last month of old Tiger Stadium...for five bucks I could sit/stand on first base dugout pre-game and talked to Jeter and Pudge and every All Star that came through! I vacationed in Appleton WI for a few weeks in the late 1980's. Went to a Milwaukee Brewers game and it was a lot of fun.I have a bucket list item to see every MLB team in their home park and will be traveling to Minneapolis over Labor Day weekend to get #28 (just Milwaukee and Detroit remaining).

^I honestly thought Wrigley was a little overrated. Fenway is a better historical park IMO
Even as a Yankees fan I have to admit that Fenway is really a great park.^I honestly thought Wrigley was a little overrated. Fenway is a better historical park IMO
Got the tickets yesterday vs. the Pirates Friday night.I'm going to Fenway for the first time in a couple weeks.
Enjoy...it is a great park, even if the Sox play there!Got the tickets yesterday vs. the Pirates Friday night.
So very sorry for your loss. Please don't give up on completing your list. This was a major bucket list item for my husband and me; sadly he kicked that bucket when we were about 1/2 through. The last two parks we went to were AT&T (Orioles v. Giants) and O.co (A's v. Red Sox), having no idea that he would be gone in just a few short months. I would love to finish the list in his honor/memory but I am not sure that is going to happen. Enjoy every inning, every beer, silly between-inning game, pretzel, you name it - and raise one for Mr. Vitoria.
Sounds as if his wife is wanting him away from home alot.I have a friend who will never realize how lucky he is to have a wife that makes $400-500K a year.
He's been to every MLB park.
He called me once and had an extra ticket to the game in Seattle and wanted to know if I wanted to go. I asked for trip details to know how long I would need to take off work and how much the plane tickets were. He was driving and planned on being gone for 16 days.
I had to politely decline since I didn't have the PTO to take.
