Im not hating on him at all. He gives great effort. He's our best player. Problem is our roster construction needs him to be a star that he just can't be.
Its extremely damning when you hear bilas make a statement like that. Its literally the first time i can remember him commenting directly on a player's limited talent level. He never comments at all unless its positive.

Obviously you don't understand the concept of best 3rd guard. It means everyone would want him, just not as a starter.
If Mark Pope does not work, I would consider Vandy coach as well

The DA thing is a perfect symptom of it. No rational person would argue against him being a starter level, successful roster pickup —- unless you’ve went so far to insanity that it sounds reasonable to say that about a high efficiency guard with good production in every facet.

Our players are starter level for quality teams. None of them are stars though. That’s the biggest difference between us and teams in the top 10 right now. Our best player would be the second best player on their team.

What an easy thing to say when our top two transfers haven’t really played this season.
Further, I don’t see a lot of difference in Chandler, Aberdeen, and Oweh (from last year) and half of the top 10 teams - Houston? Arizona? Mich St? UConn? Florida? They are all teams that spread the wealth. Their guys are playing slightly more minutes, though, so they have a little bit better counting stats. Most importantly, they are winning, but we have the personnel.
He’s been ok. But I think he looks better than he is because he’s surrounded by lesser guards. He’s stood out for sure on our squad. He and chandler have been bright spots. Gotta wait a while longer to see if it’s fools gold.

when Mitch does leave, UK needs to find an AD that understands today's market place and what is needed to stay at the top. Someone that has new ideas and not just the stale old crap.
