I wake up during the week for work at about 5:30. Wife is a nurse and is out the door by 6:15, so i head to thr gym before work. Here's my issue, I wake up at 5:30 on the weekends too and it drives me nuts. Regardless of what time I go to bed on a Friday or Saturday night (I might be able to sleep in till 6:00 if I am up later), i am always up way too early. Any suggestions?

1- why is it too early? If your up then get up and enjoy your day if your body is saying GO.

2- Yes I do this. Probably within a 30-45 minute window of when I usually wake up. It typically feels good because it's the only time I honestly am alone in the house. Kids sleep until 9 and the wife is all over the place time wise so I enjoy that peace and quiet at home.

I bet on sports to feed me, my girlfriend, and my two dogs. Have trouble sleeping in since I never get off days and my job is 24 hours per day. I actually have to work for a living, unlike 98% of the Paddock

I wake up around 4:30 (Central) every morning without an alarm every day. Clear my head on the computer, then run or bike. May pick a day to just veg. I "slept in" until 5:30 yesterday because I was going to run after work instead of before. If I'm going to get time to goof on the computer and an hour plus to exercise before I go to work, it's how I have to do it.

Krazy nailed it.

If I don't stay on a schedule then I feel like crap. So, why fight it? Enjoy it. My wife and I love to get everything done by 10-11:00 and have the rest of the day to do whatever we want.

I need 7 hours of sleep and I am good, so I really don't see what the point would be in sleeping in. Life is way to cool for me to just pointlessly lay in my bed an extra 3 or 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Now my wife needs 9 hours of sleep, so she is always running on a deficit, she catches up on Saturday, so I understand that. Basically if you're awake, your body is telling you you're done sleeping, get up.

Same here. I think your body has an internal clock that tells you to get up even though you're still tired. I drag through the day if I don't get enough z's.
