Anyone from the SWSBlue out there?

just wondering because except for the HF/Stevenson game, there was not ONE post about any of the other teams. Did they play this weekend?

I'll start. I saw Lockport play Minooka play. Heartbreaking loss by the Porters who out played Minooka the whole game but let them hang around. And you know what happens when you let teams hang around.

But there is a lot of talent on Lockport so be careful of the porters!

Brook romped over Romeoville. Hard to tell much from the game though. Romeoville is really undermanned. Things get progressively tougher for the Brook starting this week at Sandburg, then Joliet West & LWE at home. Defense is very good. Offense is young and should continue to improve as the season goes on.

Looks like someone is butt hurt cause his precious LW team isn't getting any love. Oh yeah and don't forget those 0-2 Lockport Porters who were 3-6 last season and looks to be much the same!

I also saw the Lockport/Minooka game.
The Porters must cut down it's penalties in order to win games.

Gee William, if talking about irrelevant week two games was wrong, this board would not exist.

There is life beyond the catholic league...

On a slightly different note, anyone heard what the plans for the Southwest Suburban Conference are once the two Joliets bolt? Right now, the Red and the Blue both have 8 teams. What's the plan for 2016? Go with only six in the Blue or try to recruit new member schools?

Actually it will be 7 and 6with LWN closing.
Better chance they lose more than gain any.

I was commenting more on the fact that no one on this board cares about CPL football. Based on their track record, its hard to blame them. However, there are some very solid CPL teams and they are getting much more competitive.

For the most part you are correct. If your team is not CCL or DVC they are not represented very well on this board. But I think Phillips and Simeon are getting some love here no?

Yes and rightfully so. Looking forward to seeing that game Saturday as we play Simeon in a couple weeks

You know this site has always been mostly a private site. Look at the posts they are dominated by the private discussions. I guess you can't blame them if the publics are not interested in posting. Keep the faith. Go East! I agree with another poster who said when the North kids come back to East they will be tough to deal with similar to 2005 & 2006 years before the all the splits.

Bolingbrook's schedule next season has Bradley, Thornwood & LW Central in place of the 2 Joliets & Sandburg. I'm guessing those are the replacements.

Does anyone know what is going on with this? Sandburg (3245) wouldn't be one to leave the Blue.

I wonder if they are going with an imbalanced conference schedule.

I can understand Bradley (2014) moving up, but not Thornwood (1814) and LW Central (1869). Though, LW Central is due for an increase with LW North closing.

Andrew (2035) would seem like a better choice to move up with Bradley.

Corey, I kind of miss the old days when we had a bunch of SWSB People posting. I liked hearing about the other teams.

Guess no one is interested now...

I am a product of CPS played football . Go to a bunch of CPL games have friends who coach in the CPL. I don't talk about the CPL because like you I have noticed that nobody on the board really talks about the CPL and my son plays in the CCL and I am familiar with the topics on the board because he plays in the CCL.

. You're probably right. I've been a member for 14 years far past my sons involvement. Maybe it's time..
