Just curious if anyone knows if he wound up getting surgery, or if he's been able to heal fully through rest.

When should we know for sure if his redshirt has been accepted and if he has accepted coming back to be on next season's team?

The medical redshirt application was only a formality. That's approved. There's no reason to believe he won't be back.
