Oweh was the worst at -16, Mo was bad also at -15. Kam Williams was a +11 but obviously didn’t play much and was on the floor during our run.

Agreed. His body language and mentality certainly seemed off as well.
I hope this is effect of the injury but am fearful this is a product of the NBA feedback of improving his shot and handle. Oweh imo is a very good complimentary player but not the star of a title contender. Hope I’m wrong but Oweh was forcing things against UL that just dont fit his game. UK was 11-28 on 3s without Oweh’s 1-6 and 9 turnovers w/o his 5.

Every time UofL had the ball, they moved freely, guards got to the rim with ease and finished. Nice spacing and ball movement but honestly, we made it easy for them.

Our guys struggled with those things, turned the ball over. UofL was pressuring us MUCH better.

Lack of defensive pressure, lack of help, lack of any kind of effort to unsettle Brown or Conwell.

Our guards played small like I felt they did in the last few Cal years. Just getting bullied around when it mattered by the good teams.

Fru and Khalifa both annoyingly effective compared to our bigs, as well. Just a depressing performance and it better spur some reflection by everyone involved.

Disappointing.
Although, according to various accounts, he isn't close to 100% health and might not be all season. So, yet another season of Cal-like mystery with a star player's injury status. But playing him big minutes all the same.

Oweh forced the action way too much. Had a horrible game and should not have been in the game the last 10 minutes. Not sure what was up with jasper Johnson has he had a look on the floor of no confidence. Not the same player I saw against Purdue. Missed all other games before last nights.

Pope has to keep shooters on the floor for his offensive scheme to work and last night he didn’t do that. The majority of the game was spent with 3 players on the floor who are poor 3 point shooters.

CMP needs to find the best blend of offense/defense and play that group all at least 28 minutes.

This. You can tell he's trying to display better shooting. Problem is he still sucks at it and has the broken hitch in his shot.

Honestly his best bet at being pro is in football. He's playing the wrong sport.

Us letting khalifa be so effective is really the worst part of last night's flop. He is literally fat, slow, and worthless except passing. Why the hell did we press up on him, which is exactly what he needs to be effective.

I mean it isn't like our staff is unfamiliar with him. It was just pathetic and infuriating.

UL got 19 points off of turnovers. That was huge. UL shot 31 FTA vs 16 for UK, fortunately missed 10 of them or it would've been even worse. I don't know why BG was even on the floor, I'd rather have more minutes for Moreno, Jelavic or Kam based on what I saw last night. A little too much hero ball for me when the lead got into double figures. Too many quick shots, not running the offense to get better looks. Credit the team for cutting it to 88-84 with 4 min to go, and could've been even closer if you make the front end of those 1and1 FTA. You can't have your more experienced players turning the ball over like that. Gotta get better on defense, just can't get into scoringfest games and expect to come out with the W every time. You have to be able to get stops.

Sadly I believe NIL will influence playing time more and more if it hasn't already.

Yeah trust me I hated watching that turd of a man. Fru wasn't much LESS of a turd running the court. But we lost to both of them so here we are whining about it.
