Have had 4 on my right shoulder. The last 2 I had additional work done as well. The last 2 were much harder than the first 2. Work ur pt after the surgeries. I didn't. That's why I had 4. The first 2 were not too bad at all---especially if u r prone to sleeping on your back anyway

How uncomfortable was sleeping. How bad was the pain and how long was the recovery.
Sleeping will have to be done in a recliner for a while. Pain is real, ain't gonna lie. Try to walk as much as you can stand to keep from getting what they call (please excuse the spelling) costal condritis. It gets in your rib cage from being inactive and it is more painful than the surgery. Trust me, I got it and it is awful. Felt like a heart attack for several days.
6 weeks is about right on recovery. Do the PT and deal with the pain, because if you don't, you will have very little range of motion ever.

Had both shoulders done but not at same time. Sleeping, well you get used to it. Recovery was about 6 weeks with each.
Same here. It was painful. Slept sitting up with pillows and other back support and it wasn't too bad. But the first time doc says to turn your arm in a circular motion while letting it dangle by your side, look out and make sure someone is holding you up. Wow.

Probably because it’s not yet legal where you live or that procedure would take the treatment out of his hands aka less money.

Most of my patients talk about how it's more frustrating to have soreness and decreased function for months.....rather than the actual pain level. Leaving out the first wk following surgery, if you're having considerable pain then you likely doing something wrong.
